Shops that stock plus-size

I'm size 24 and I've looked at every shop I can think of for an outfit for a Christmas drink.

Next, Monsoon, John Lewis, M&S, Debenhams, Yours, River Island, Simply Be, Asos, Curvissa, Karen Millen, Sea Salt.

Boden & Fat Face don't stock my size sadly :(

Who have I missed?

I have a huge stomach - I look like I'm pregnant! So it's a bit tricky to find clothes that suit. I ordered a load of stuff that came today but none of it was any good.

I need to order something today to get it in time, panicking a little now Grin

Thanks :)

Yours Clothing online or check for stores in your area.
Some great dresses

Anjo2011 · 01/12/2021 17:49

Try Live unlimited ( John Lewis stock it on line) and in store.
If budget allows Anna Scholtz, Marina Rinaldi.

liquoriceallsortfamily · 01/12/2021 18:34

Have you tried Asda? They go up to size 24 and have got some beautiful Christmas stuff this year.

Mum0509 · 01/12/2021 18:47

Ulla Popken. But delivery can be a couple of weeks.

The only shops that stock my size in my town are the supermarkets as far as I know! And maybe 2 things at TK MAXX if I'm lucky.

We have some high street stores like Next, River Island, Fat Face, Dorothy Perkins (or did that shut down? I forget) etc but none stock over size 20 in store.

We used to have Debenhams and Monsoon but they shut.

Actually, I'm not sure even the supermarkets do. They stock size 20 / 22 but I think maybe not 24?

ASOS?

In the style go up to a 28 at least, I think.

Koifish · 01/12/2021 20:21

I’m a size 22 and shop mostly on asos, they have a really good selection. John Zack is my favourite brand for party dresses, you can find a few second hand on depop and vinted for around £20 - if I don’t get there first ;)

OMG! You're right! They do stock size 24!

The way they list the sizes is bonkers!

When I clicked on "filter" a list of sizes appeared. I looked at what I assumed to be the "largest" sizes - on the right hand size. It goes 18, 20, 22 and stops. But they do have 24, it's just in the middle!

I've looked at that website a couple of times and missed it.

I found a top and some jeans I like - but they're only doing standard delivery (7 days).

Oh well, at least I know for another time! I do like FatFace clothes, so thank you!

Someone on here once, disparagingly, described FatFace as "toddler clothes for adults". I thought "and the problem is....?!" Grin

I personally love toddler clothes for adults! Lucy and Yak pretty much only do that. I see no problem here. Move along people!

hotchocdrinker · 02/12/2021 12:33

I love fatface but their delivery is dreadful. The last order I placed took 11 days to get to me. I have sent them a snotty email this morning!

Fluffmum · 03/12/2021 18:00

Tu has lovely reasonably priced clothes up to size 24.

fedup65356 · 03/12/2021 18:03

Try Scarlett & Jo or Lady V.

fedup65356 · 03/12/2021 18:03

Or Bombshell HQ if you don't mind spending a bit more.

Mirw · 03/12/2021 18:15

Yours. JD Williams who do plus size Joe Browns. M&S do plus sizes up to 24 in some stores.

tootiredtobother · 03/12/2021 18:19

considering large is deemed a size 14 by most brands, I despair of getting anything 'in fashion'
i hope you do find something

autumnboys · 03/12/2021 18:23

Seasalt might be worth a look. They had some party type dresses in the shop I went in last weekend.

fuzzywuzzywombat · 03/12/2021 18:25

New look have a curves section

alied321 · 03/12/2021 19:33

TK Maxx, they have free click and collect this weekend if you have a store nearby.

doughnutcraver · 03/12/2021 22:33

Evans have a good range.

Cherry321 · 03/12/2021 22:37

Monsoon XXL is around a 24. They have some nice dresses online

Wheeliebinsoutinthemorning · 03/12/2021 22:55

I like Seasalt, too, but it’s worth a phone call first if you’re thinking of visiting a shop as they don’t all stock sizes above a 20 - the 3 I’ve visited don’t. However, my nearest branch sometimes gets mail order sale items returned there. They are kept in the basement until the next sale, and they will go and look there if you ask.

Largethighsbadeyes · 03/12/2021 22:59

Have you teiw the asos plus size and boohoo plus size ranges? My nicest clothes come from there.

Nice clothes in plus sizes rather than clothes for fat people (looking at you Evans!) IMO
