First ‘real perfume’ for a 16yo

My soon-to-be 16yo wants perfume for the first time. Not a body spray or similar, more an way de toilette, branded type thing.

Her brother is buying it for her for Christmas and has a budget of £20-£25.

I have used the same two perfumes forever so can of limited use and he’s at the sub-Lynx level of sophistication, bless him.

What would you gurus suggest?

Lacoste Touch of Pink was my sixth form scent, I've not smelt it for years, I'm sure it would take me straight back if I smelt it today!

Versace Yellow Diamond was £25 in my local Superdrug. It’s a similar scent to Yellow Jeans which I wore when I was young. I also had Tommy Girl and Touch Of Pink when I was school age. This was when I was younger than 16 though.

Another vote for Ariana Grande cloud. It’s not as sweet smelling as her other perfumes so is more ‘grown up’ - and should be available on budget too 👍🏻

I love Britney Spears Fantasy, it smells a little like popcorn

Daisy was one of my DDs first perfumes too, also Chloe.

Amazon has got loads of proper perfumes eg Vera Wang, CK, Ghost, Versace, Davidoff, Anais Anais, for £20 and under, many less than £15.

I've heard Ariana Grande - Sweet like Candy is supposed to be really nice. Think it's roughly £19 for a 30ml bottle on Amazon

DD also has a couple of Ariana Grande perfumes which I think smell lovely too. She also has a collection of Victoria Secret cheaper body sprays which they all use after PE
