Hi, I have a daughter (age 3). Can you tell me how the Boden sizing comes up, does it come up big, small, is there plenty of room in trousers, do trousers come up particularly long, any advice appreciated. Thanks

Boys sizes are vast.......

girls sizes seem quite big but not enormous, trousers quite long.

I have a tall just turned 3 years old who has been in size 3-4 for quite a few months, but I reckon the clothes will last her until she's 4. She can still just about wear some of the 2-3 stuff. She's just about tall enough now for the 3-4 jeans I got from ebay. She is still in nappies (GRRRRR that's another story) and I'd say there's not a massive amount of room in the trousers but that's probably because of the nappies

however she outgrew the 2-3 pyjamas ages ago...the trousers were really short.

my dd is 3.5, she is average weight, slightly tall, and really skinny.

trousers are enormous on her, waist wise, they also seem quite long, but the only trousers she has are cropped trousers, so they are long for cropped trousers, but still ok iyswim.

size 3 top is perfect on her, she has quite long arms though.

dd is a slightly smaller than average almost 3 year old although with longish legs. She has mainly worn 2-3 for quite a while except in their coats which seem to be big (nothing else though ) where she is only just going into 2-3.

I'm surprised by everyone saying that they come up big. I always find them on the small size!

Dd is now 22 months, and has been in age 2-3 tops for about 4 months already. She was also wearing an age 2/3 dress which fit great back in July!

The trousers in 2-3 are mostly still too long on her, but otherwise fit fine.

Thanks for all the advice. My DD is also still in nappies and not skinny, she is not overly tall and a lot of trousers seem so long but not big enough around the bum! Guess I should really get the sewing kit out and play safe and order a larger size and take them up.

I think I find the tops short rather than tight on DD.
I think the sizing is, irritatingly and like so many other places, a bit variable - so a 2-3 t shirt still fits her nicely (and the same one in 3-4 is big and will fit her for ages) but the pyjamas are tiny as are some of the hotch potch long sleeved tops

the 3-4 dress she has got probably won't last all the way to 4 but then it's a summer one so no matter as summer will be over in a few months. BUt then the 3-5 skirt she has is enormous.

THis isn't much help is it!

3-4 not 3-5
