One of our cats went missing for nigh on 3 months (11 weeks). We had done the postering, ringing around vets and rescues, door to door for a gazillion roads around us (begging them to check sheds etc.).

We had given up, and one evening in August she sauntered in the catflap and screamed to be fed. She was skin and bones. We have no idea where she had been. Maybe trapped and stayed alive on passing mice etc.

One of my cats was missing for 10 days in a freezing (snow on the ground) period of Winter years ago. We did all of the usual stuff, including visiting neighbours asking them to check their sheds and garages. He then turned up very thin. A neighbour admitted he’d been locked in his garage. The bastard had previously told us he’d checked it, but clearly he hadn’t! My cat must have had access to some water, but no food. He was fine after a few good meals and cuddles though.

It’s too early to think the worst OP. Hope he comes home safe and sound.
