I’m 38. Slim legs, round around the tummy, big chest.

I want a change of style. Can’t wear jeans anymore. Would this look nice with midi dresses/biker boots?

Is it smart or casual? Looking for something smartish/cas

It's awful and looks as if it's made of polystyrene.

That Joe Brown coat is polyester. Won’t keep you warm and is likely to pill and look tatty after one winter. It’s fun and bright which is a nice change from all the dark winter colours but the fabric isn’t good enough for a winter coat.

I really like it, but I wouldn't wear it with a dress/midi skirt. I would wear it with mom jeans, a sweatshirt and boots. It's not going to be everyone's thing! Do you follow any instagram fashion pages? I like one called galslovehighstreet, it has loads of inspiration on there. The latest next one is too dated now (in my opinion). Laura Byrnes is another good one to follow, costs me a fortune following these but I find them so helpful.

@gunnersgold ohh! I had to ask dd what colour the other coat was. It looked grey/charcoal on the inside and dark brown on the out 🤦‍♀️. I must be colour blind.

I’ve found another coat similar to the Next one in Uniqlo

@Iamneverfull but the Next one says the “Borg” style is in this season? Whatever the hell that is!

The Next teddy coat is my favourite so far, no idea if it would suit your body shape or not as I'm useless at things like that. As a tall hourglass it would not be very flattering on me! Have you tried TKMaxx? I sometimes get lucky there and find something great there, my last winter coat is a Michael Kors belted coat but it's much more suited to casual school runs. Does it need to be slightly fancier/smarter?

Borg is that bobbly style like the Uniqlo one
