Help -what to wear with kimono dress for wedding this weekend

The weather has thrown a massive spanner in the works for my wedding outfit choice this weekend, and I can't afford to buy anything else.

It's in a Church so likely to be cold, and I've got to do a reading from the front.

What can I wear over this to keep my arms/shoulders warm? All I can think of is a pashmina but not sure that will quite cut it!

What about a faux fur edged wrape/cape in one of the colours in your dress - something along these lines

Yes -but bought for my mum's funeral and it's her husband getting married so would feel a bit odd wearing it (it's in the same Church too).

I think this is as good as it's going to get, am crap with clothes and just don't suit smart, and cannot wear heels so this is my best compromise!

No he probably won't, but OP remembers and I can understand why that might make her feel uncomfortable.

I think your outfit looks great but you will still be freezing in a church! Can you add layers under? Eg a heatech top and maybe secret leggings ( just lags cut short enough to not be seen but add warmth.

Yes, I'll need to wear shorts/capris underneath for modesty and have thermal top too (and shawl/blanket).

The reception is there too and then change into comfy clothes for the drive home

I was going to say a thermal top underneath for the church. Winter weddings are lovely but such a pita to dress for!
