Long length work trousers when you have a muffin top/spare tyre

Please help! I've bought and returned so many trousers.

Used to buy Next long length / XL but I can't zip up a 12 anymore yet a 14 is baggy. I need somewhere new while I'm between sizes.

Where can I find something that will be long length, copes with wide hips, largish bum, pear shaped plus muffin top?! I don't really want stretchy - they cling to my worst bits. Blush

I've tried M&S - same problem, oasis - not long enough, Saint & sofia - jersey/clingy, Dorothy Perkins - ok but very limited tall range, Long Tall Sally - I'm not quite tall enough.

Have you tried paperbag trousers? I'm a size 12/14 and I got a very flattering pair from New Look. Might be worth a try? 😊

River Island? Just bought jeans from there, I’m usually a long and the regular is great. New Look usually also do a long.

If the Next size 14 is perfect in every other way you could perhaps have the waist taken in.

....or have the 12 let out.

Thank you

I haven't considered paper bag - good idea, something new to try.

Also river island, yes, good idea. I think new look has been hit and miss but I could order a load and experiment...

I'd rather not have things taken in / out but now you've said it it is actually a good idea for the trousers I love but are too small. Thank you!

Boden Bridport and M&S Mia are good, non-clingy work trousers
