Always long for some colour in winter and like the blue here but.. never quite sure about Boden non kids range. Is it a bit OTT with the spotty lining, too mumsy and expensive - what do you think?

most oddly cut across the norks

worth a try but do not be surprised if it looks peculiar on

BettySpaghetti · 14/12/2007 21:11

I love it!

I remember someone doing a link to it a while ago and thinking it was gorgeous (not within my price bracket at the moment though as a SAHM)

RainingCatsandDogs · 14/12/2007 21:31

Order it a size smaller than you usually wear.

southeastastra · 14/12/2007 21:32

bad, there was thread earlier in the year

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 14/12/2007 21:33

I'm a 12 and the 10 fits beautifully.

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 14/12/2007 21:33

That thread was where I learnt you had to order it small, SEA.

RainingCatsandDogs · 14/12/2007 21:36

Will try and find the thread - searching now

OK i ordered this, and actually the size 10 is fine on me, but I like A-line coats. My DH did say it looked like a kid's coat but otherwise OK. The thing that makes me think twice is that I saw three women on the same day wearing the same colour coat (blue). So now I'm undecided as to whether to swap it for the grey (if there are any left in the sale) or look for something different - basically I want a nice lightish coat that is a bit nicer than a parka.

LaCerbiatta · 15/12/2007 08:43

I have it, the blue one, and don't like it very much. It is very uflattering, I can't imagine what type of body it would suit. ...
I had a thread about it recently and someone (Anna I think) suggested that it would look good with a polo neck and boots and it does. It's the only way I'll be wearing mine.
Oh and never buttoned up, or it looks like a childs.

cadeLaideInAManger · 15/12/2007 08:51

I tried it, it was very tent-like.
Sent it back pronto.

RainingCatsandDogs · 15/12/2007 08:56

I'm just going to order the kids sale things and leave the coat.Glad I checked as it would be expensive to send back,I also normally suit A line so it looks like is the wrong shape for me.

I bought it, tried it on and sent it back. Vert unflattering cut on me too.

alexandre · 15/12/2007 10:39

I like the look of it but everyone is wearing it and I prefer a little more individuality

DarthVader · 15/12/2007 16:58

what coat did you go for alexandre?

dexter73 · 15/12/2007 19:49

I ummed and aahed about it but then after looking at the rear view of it decided against as it made the models arse look huge! Also I have seen an awful lot of them about and there will be even more now they are in the sale!!

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 16/12/2007 13:26

It makes the model's arse look huge because she has her hands in the pockets of her trousers!!
