Can you tell me about hairsprays? I think I need one!

Haven’t used hairspray since literally the 1980s!! Blush my thick short coarse hair is misbehaving at the moment, I think it might be the weather. It’s going frizzy, won’t stay in style, and ends up looking like messy mop on my head.
I’ve had it cut recently so it’s not that, and I use a good shampoo and conditioner (Redken). Then I use morrocan oil smoothing lotion to style.
I need some kind of fixing spray I think, that won’t go sticky or hard, or dry my hair out.
Any recommendations?

Find an unscented one , they stink and give me a horrible headache .. plus you stink of hairspray all day!

Elnett. Non sticky, brushes out and does what it says on the can. More pricey but won’t be swayed because I like it

Elnett is the mother of all hairsprays imo. But it is strongly scented, so the unperfumed one is your best bet.

Tibby99 · 16/11/2021 12:14

I use Elnet if i can afford it.

Thanks definitely don’t want to smell of hairspray!

Elnet

I scented Elnett - Boots and Superdrug often have on offer

MadisonAvenue · 16/11/2021 19:23

Amazon sell the Unscented Elnet, I think I pay around £3, and Boots do an own brand unscented.
Having said that, I have the same problems with my hair in this weather OP and hairspray makes no difference.
