Cut hair or keep long?

As I cannot decide!!!
I've had an inverted bob (below chin at front and short at back for years) and I'm trying to decide whether to go back to that or just have a reshape and keep the length
It's grown a fair bit as my hairdresser is booked up

Long.

Liverbird77 · 11/11/2021 17:05

What gorgeous hair!! Looks great either way.

swampytiggaa · 11/11/2021 17:07

I bet Ollie likes it long 😉

Tbh I cut my hair and my mom reckons it’s too short 😂😂 can’t please some people!

Mine is a grade 2 all over so it technically could go shorter 😂😂

otterlybonkers · 11/11/2021 19:08

good god, keep it as it is!

Suzi888 · 11/11/2021 19:10

Looks great both ways Smile

NotMyCat · 11/11/2021 19:12

@Pokemonpoolparty

I have curly hair and feel the same about my hair. I always think it looks nicer longer. But, it's a lot of hard work and effort to keep it looking good. That usually I can't be arsed with. So it looks crap and I tie it back lots.

I think between my chin and just touching my shouldes is my acceptable low maintenance limit.

I admit I do wear it tied up 99% of the time!

Keep it long for as long as you can

Redshoeblueshoe · 11/11/2021 20:57

I love short hair, but yours is fabulous, keep it long.

steelrose · 11/11/2021 22:44

It looks great both ways on you.

Curly hair here too, I seem to have it long when I'm a bit chubbier and I can hide my chins behind it. When I've been slimmer I like it in a shoulder length curly bob, it makes me feel more sassy.

Grin I could post the bad hair days.. or actually the disaster of a haircut. I've never complained about a cut before, and it was SO bad that I did. Thankfully I've found a curly cut person now

What fabulous hair you have!

immersivereader · 11/11/2021 23:31

Long.

You're like Boudicca!

AmberLynn1536 · 11/11/2021 23:44

Goodness me I think even Kate Middleton would have hair envy! Either way suits you but long is the best.

roxisolerenshaw · 11/11/2021 23:59

Definitely long. You've got beautiful hair!

NotMyCat · 12/11/2021 00:16

Just for balance, here is my bad bad cut (I asked and showed photos so it should be long at the front and then sharply angled to the back)
I got.. this

Another vote for long! Xo

sjxoxo · 12/11/2021 01:25

I think the long at front and shorter at back would work better if you had straight hair, like Victoria B! I think with curly tbh it doesn’t show and you can go more natural xo

RaisedByPangolins · 12/11/2021 01:30

I’m usually all for short and low maintenance hair but oh my, if I had your curls I’d want to keep them all! Gorgeous either way but long looks amazing

Monty27 · 12/11/2021 02:37

Keep long but layered at the top to take away the weight.
OP your hair is stunning 😍

notthemum · 12/11/2021 04:45

OP, your hair is fab. Too old ? ? Absolute nonsense. I have long straight hair, every now and then I wonder about having it short, even buy the odd hair magazine, but at the end of the day I prefer it long so for now it is staying. If I had hair like yours I wouldn't even consider cutting it.
(By the way, I am 20 years older than you)

ChequeredHistory · 12/11/2021 06:14

Long. It’s gorgeous. Your curls are defined and your hair looks shiny and in good condition. There is NO age for long or short hair. Some people suit it long and always will and some, like me have never suited it or have the type of hair that looks good long.

You have more options when it’s long. Bad hair days are not as much of a problem as you can wear it up. I’d say do what feels right because it will look good either way and don’t listen to anyone who thinks 38 is approaching some sort of long hair cut-off point!

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/11/2021 08:41

I’d say long too, I saw a new hairdresser 7 weeks ago and she took 3” more off than I asked and now I look like a 14th century page boy.

I know it’s really bad as dh keeps reassuring me it’s not that bad.

WouldBeGood · 12/11/2021 08:43

I love it long.

I’m 52 with longest hair I’ve ever had, sod the old relative!

gindreams · 12/11/2021 08:46

@NotMyCat

Ohh your hair is lovely

Just out of interest do you follow the curly girl method
