One pair has jolly rogers and hearts, one pair is black, and one pair has lip prints . Still ... one pair has jolly rogers.

FrannyandZooey · 11/12/2007 08:46
Hmm
NotQuiteCockney · 11/12/2007 08:47

What?

I've decided I really like those jeans.

Hey, are we visiting you over the holidays?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 11/12/2007 09:14

I'm not sure, it would be good if you could, but I can't see any spare days between now and Christmas. When does ds1 go back to school? Could we do something after Christmas?

I was wondering if you have got some stuff that is too big for you now, that you might want to sell on? If so please let me know, as I am looking for a nice skirt or two that has a bit of room for me to grow.

NotQuiteCockney · 11/12/2007 09:16

I wouldn't be on for selling things, but could bring stuff for you to have, if you want it.

Most of the largerish skirts I have are businessy though ... oh, I do have one v nice Esprit one that I'm annoyed doesn't fit me any more.

It would have to be after Xmas, it's all a zoo before. Either the week after, or the week after that. We go back to normal(ish) the first Monday after New Years.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 11/12/2007 09:19

I am sure I have seen you wear some fab fancy skirts that are not businessy

maybe I could just borrow something then, i don't really want to just take your stuff

NappiesGaloriaInExcelsis · 11/12/2007 09:19

i clicked on that link all excited about the pirate pants.
gotta tell you, the result was somethign of a letdown. can you not find some billowy knickerbockers or something? or failing that, some black pants with a diamante skull perchance?

FrannyandZooey · 11/12/2007 09:21

have opened diary and hurriedly shut it again

ugh

actually is mostly nice things but just so fricking busy

we have a few friends with birthdays between Christmas and New year, just adds that extra bit of frenecity

(i just made that word up did I?)

NappiesGaloriaInExcelsis · 11/12/2007 09:23

frenecity

sounds like a social networking website for Very Busy People (who want to make time for their model train hobby)

NotQuiteCockney · 11/12/2007 10:01

Borrowing is fine. Or just taking with a promise to gift onwards or charity shop when you're done with them?

Will have a peek at my pile of pointlessly huge skirts. Trousers no good?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 11/12/2007 10:31

I just feel quite sceptical that you and I would fit the same pair of trousers, ever

will happily borrow anything you have no more use for (I hope this wasn't cheeky to ask?)

NotQuiteCockney · 11/12/2007 10:35

No, not too cheeky at all - I'd been wondering if you'd want some of the clothes.

Might be easier for you to come to us and have a rummage, sometime?

OP posts:
NotQuiteCockney · 11/12/2007 10:37

I do have some sort of hikingy trousers that I used to love, and they are v nice, and not very ... hmmm ... not very arse-fitted, iyswim.

But I can't really see them as your style.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 11/12/2007 10:44

yes I would like to come over sometime

when I have no idea

which days after Christmas look good for you to come here?

FrannyandZooey · 11/12/2007 10:44

I guess you should bear in mind that if you have some very favourite skirts you could almost certainly get them altered

trousers harder I think

NotQuiteCockney · 11/12/2007 11:54

I have a couple of pieces I wouldn't loan out and should get altered, once I work out what the hell size I am.

Dressing up the other day was a total mindfuck, I kept seeing myself in the mirrors and freaking out.

I don't think I absolutely adore any of the larger skirts. Will think about it.

After Xmas, let's see. It's pretty mellow, really. I am thinking of heading to Reading, but haven't picked dates. Don't know what DH's work situation is (guessing will be bad), he's talking about taking time off.

Oh, I have the ILs coming on the 3rd to take the boys to the Snowman. I have to work out when (if) they're staying over. Otherwise, v mellow. The 2nd or 4th, I doubt we'll be busy at all and will almost certainly have no DH. Not that visiting with him around is a problem, but I'm more inclined to come with just the smaller boys.

Any of these days are good for you to come to us, too, obviously.

DS2 is talking so much more, and is so clearly insane, you will really enjoy him even more now. He has a little brother who lives on an island, in a house that's a train station house, and he doesn't know his little brother's name, he has to ask his (LB's) mother, only he doesn't know who his mother is. No, I'm not his mother, no, DH isn't his dad.

NotQuiteCockney · 11/12/2007 11:55

He is such a fount of complete madness. And the two of them are playing so well these days, most of the time. Thank goodness, as it's been a hell of a week.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 11/12/2007 13:01

Excellent news, except about the bad week.

I shall check diary, when I have nerve to open it again

FrannyandZooey · 11/12/2007 13:33

Ah, I am back at work on 2nd and 4th. Hmm. Hmm hmm.

Dp and ds are away on the 5th, 6th and 7th. I might come up to London by myself one of those days. I might.

NotQuiteCockney · 11/12/2007 20:45

Ok, we'll be here, nothing going on then I don't think. Oh, I'm working at the co-op on the 7th (you're welcome to visit, but I'm not sure you'd want to!). Obviously you can stay at ours if you want to.

OP posts:
NotQuiteCockney · 11/12/2007 20:46

Oh, but I am giddy (through the exhaustion) as I have got back my first marked assignment on the OU course and I got 80% and the tutor thinks one of the pieces is publishable! "I feel confident that you will be able to get this published as very short fiction in a literary magazine!"

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 11/12/2007 21:28

Oh fantastic! I would love to read it

NotQuiteCockney · 12/12/2007 06:57

Ok, I'll email it to you - I'm still fiddling with it a bit, on the back of her comments.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 12/12/2007 08:00

will read later, am off to work shortly
