Hair help! Ok to purple shampoo right after toner??

I need help! Going to a wedding tomorrow and just back from the hairdressers where I asked for silver/grey hair (with pic) and came back with hair that is MUCH more blonde/yellow than I wanted. Is it wise to try to wash it with purple shampoo tonight to see if that might help or could I make things worse with no hairdressers around to fix me tomorrow?

You could try it, but don’t expect instant results. It will definitely tone it down a little but it needs to be used regularly

Is it definitely a yellow tinge? Because if its more orangey then you would need blue shampoo

Depends if you have a strong enough toning shampoo, I use 'fanola' and it would bring it up straight away but I find the supermarket ones need a good few uses to do anything

There is one called 'no more yellow' think it's Jerome Russell and that was better than standard ones. You could always buy a wash in toner ?

The Bblonde stuff, usually in little bottles

Fudge clean blonde is the best for toning. If your hair likes to grab on to toner, you may need to cut it half and half with your usual shampoo to avoid it turning purple

Put the purple shampoo on dry hair first, like it's actual dye. Wash it out with more purple shampoo. If it's yellow it'll just go silvery.
