Snag tights - can anyone tell me what the material is like?

Just that really - is the material similar to normal tights? I have a real sensory issue with any microfibre style fabric that catches on your skin (hope people know what I mean!) so have a massive issue with most tights for that reason. Anyone know if snag are made of the same material?

Not sure if it’s the exact same material but feels like normal tights to me, just a higher denier pair. I am autistic and have sensory issues too and get what you mean but these have never bothered me. They actually cause me less sensory issues than regular tights because they don’t get baggy, gather at weird places. The fact they smooth out and stay exactly where they are supposed to has helped me learn to wear tights without sensory overload or frustration. Obviously can’t say for sure how you would feel as everyone’s sensory issues are slightly different, but I love my snag tights

OK definitely not for me then - I don't mind bagginess etc, it's the actual material that bothers me and the fact it catches on skin that's even a little bit dry. Thank you for your reply!

The material is horrible, like regular tights. I have the same issue, I didn’t get the hype at all with snag. But the merino ones are fine and I can cope with them, they’re completely fine, but dearer than their normal ones

Justbetweenus · 21/10/2021 13:34

Not enough lycra for my liking, so I find them quite snaggy and baggy.

PumpkinCrumble · 21/10/2021 15:45

They do merino wool tights that have different material.

EssexLioness · 22/10/2021 16:33

@Bluenetbags that’s a shame. I would maybe try woolly tights instead in that case. I find the material is more comfy as they are soft but the bagginess annoys me, but as this is ok for you it might be your best bet

Craftycorvid · 22/10/2021 22:38

I find Snags very soft and velvety. The merino ones are lovely and cosy (and no, I don’t work for Snag!)

RampantIvy · 23/10/2021 08:09

I don't find them snaggy or baggy at all. If you are finding them baggy you must have the wrong size.

They just feel like good quality tights to me.

AsLongAsIHaveMyTea · 23/10/2021 09:18

They are itchy! I like the super soft ones from M&S best!

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 23/10/2021 09:21

Find them soft and comfy, less snaggy than tights I’ve bought from M&S. the merino wool ones would probably fit the bill for you to try.

TrampolineForMrKite · 23/10/2021 09:49

I find them excellent, nice and smooth and soft and because I’ve got mad long legs it’s amazing to wear a pair of tights that stay in the right place. Normally the crotch on tights is around my knees within half an hour.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 23/10/2021 09:52

I don't notice them catching (and I do with other tights).

They have different kinds depending on the denier. the 120d ones are more like their capris - tighter weave. The 80d ones are velvety and quite ok to wear.

TheChosenTwo · 23/10/2021 10:27

I find them absolutely brilliant and I get what you mean about skin catching on them, I don’t find that happens to me at all.
They don’t sag or bag in me whatsoever, I now have 5 pairs (all black, I am not into purple or turquoise tights!) and have binned all other tights. None have ever stayed up on me.

TheNarwhalBalloon · 23/10/2021 10:35

To me they are softer than normal tights, more stretchy and silky, less dry and snaggy imo. I'm autistic with sensory issues so I do know what you mean. They seem like lovely folk so maybe email them and explain your problem and ask for a sample of their fabric? I did this recently with the manufacturers of a weighted blanket and they sent multiple samples of their products!
