Thick wiry grey hair looks like a helmet - help

As the title says … I have tried loads of different products but still end up with a white/grey helmet of thick Brillo-pad-texture hair. Each strand seems to stand on its own as well. If I don’t straighten it then there’s a bit of a curl to it but either way, it’s coarse and untidy-looking. All advice gratefully received!

Have you tried overnight oiling, pre -wash?

Or condition -wash - condition?

I didn’t even know about the two things you mentioned! What kind of oil would I use overnight? How would I keep it from getting everywhere? (Thanks for your reply btw)

You need a keratin blow dry. I do a home one but you can get it done at a salon.
