Swimming costume for people with big boobs

And I mean 40J big. I've started swimming 4x per week and I love it. But I've been trying for so long to find a swimming costume that covers my boobs and is for actual swimming not lying on a beach. I've just had to reject yet another one I ordered and I'm so frustrated I could cry, really cry. It's taken me so long to start to exercise and I feel like giving up. Please help, does anyone have any suggestions?

Try Bravissimo.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 17/10/2021 19:24

What size is the rest of you?

SylviaTrench · 17/10/2021 19:27

Deakin and Blue, not cheap but beautifully made, and excellent customer service.

pickingdaisies · 17/10/2021 19:27

Another for bravissimo.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 17/10/2021 19:27

on sale

CMOTDibbler · 17/10/2021 19:33

Deakin and Blue are pricey but very popular in my outdoor swimming groups. Mine is beautiful and lasting really well.
I've heard great things about MoreMaids who make to measure, but I have no experience directly.
I recently bought a lairy pink penguin costume from Curvy Bathers who do a really wide range of sizes, and the lady that runs it is very helpful

Rockbird · 17/10/2021 19:34

The Deakin and Blue ones are gorgeous but a little above my budget alas.

The rest of me is an 18ish. I'm on my way down from a 24 and the suit I have at the moment is too big and practically indecent.

Freya and Fantasie, though John Lewis used to do knockoff ones that were good too.

Congrats on your weight loss and health gain x

Land End tugless. Similar size though H rather than J cup. You can normally get one on sale

Morgantowers · 17/10/2021 20:29

You say you’re a size 18 so maybe try simply be. They do one piece in cup sizes and for me a size 20 with DD they have a longer body costume so it’s a little higher up top and lower near bikini areas.

Morgantowers · 17/10/2021 20:30

My larger cupped friend wears bras under her costume

userchange987 · 17/10/2021 20:35

I get underwater swimming costumes that have bra sizes rather than just size 10 etc. My breast size doesn't match to the rest of my body so it's impossible to buy based on generic sizes. Bravissimo, figleaves and Next are my go-tos.

userchange987 · 17/10/2021 20:36

Sorry that should say underwired!

Bravissimo.

Findingapath · 17/10/2021 21:10

I wear a substantial/supportive and wired bra-bikini top under a tankini, I have found it’s the only way to keep my boobs under control whilst remaining relatively decent.

ThursdayLastWeek · 17/10/2021 21:13

Fig leaves?

Hobbes8 · 17/10/2021 21:21

I buy Freya or curvy Kate tankini tops in the right cup size - they tend to have an inner mesh type bra with underwiring and then a normal bit to cover the tummy. Then wear them with plain tankini shorts in a complimentary colour (could buy the matching branded ones but just get cheaper ones from next or wherever)

profpoopsnagle · 17/10/2021 21:32

I also swim 3-4 times a week. I do love an underwired swimsuit but they are not the easiest thing to get in and out of, and I was worried about it going in the washing machine so often with the wires.

I have found the Zoggs sandon swimsuit to be the best, it has foam cups and a shelf bra so very supportive from the changing room to the pool. Once you are in the pool your breasts will have support from the water anyway. And so much more comfortable to get on and off. I still use my underwired ones, but for holidays.

I noticed Decathlon had a good range last time I was in, though I was a bit Hmm that the bigger cup sizes had labels insinuating it was a beginners swimsuit, the ones with chlorine resistance were the ones without boob support. People with big boobs can still swim quite fast!

DysmalRadius · 17/10/2021 21:34

I wear a rash vest and shorts with a bikini top underneath for support. All from decathlon for about £20 all in!

What about this one?
