Whistles ponte trousers - how to care for them

I've recently bought 2 pairs of Whistles ponte trouser for work and I love them, they look great, fit perfectly and are so comfortable to wear.

The only snag is I'm nervous to wash them as I suspect they'll never look the same again! I reckon they put some treatment into the fabric which makes them look so perfect and once you wash them they could become limp etc

Has anyone got a pair - do you wash them or dry clean them only?

I have navy tapered leg and black wide legged cropped.

I have been thinking about buying the navy tapered leg so your post is timely and helpful - they are machine washable according to the John Lewis website.

@misscockerspaniel they are so lovely and really comfortable.
I see they're machine washable but I'm nervous about ironing them and getting those shiny iron marks on them and the way jersey / ponte stuff never looks the same once it's been washed.

I completely recommend them for the fit / shape and I love mine but I'd love to hear from someone who already has a pair of the ponte fabric trousers and has successfully washed them
