NAB3littlemonkeys · 08/12/2007 19:38

I'm not loyal but I would never buy Rimmel

ItCameUponAMidnightClara · 08/12/2007 19:44

I used to buy a lot of No 7 but am switching over to Benefit bit by bit... the packaging makes me want to buy as much as anything

I don't even wear much make up, and certainly not every day, but it's sooo niiice...

I buy a lot of Benefit with a smattering of No7 and, er, Rimmel. Have a fab new Rimmel lipgloss which I love.

(Also, am newly converted and utterly devoted to Lush for skincare stuff.)

Amethyst86 · 08/12/2007 20:37

Not so much cosmetics but moisturisers and cleansers etc is always Clarins. If I run out of Clarins and don t use it for a week or two I can so see the difference. Use Clarins Foundation but most other make up I use is Bourgeois and Lancome Juicy Tube lip glosses. Best Product ever is Touche Eclait.

Also would avoid Rimmel.

CodRestYeMerryGentelmen · 08/12/2007 20:39

ooh i haet beneift

mac for colour
am diverse in rest

CodRestYeMerryGentelmen · 08/12/2007 20:40

fopr cheap clarins check out island comsetics

very good range
cheap dan free postage

twinsetandpearls · 08/12/2007 21:04

Almost exclusively benefit. Used to buy mac but my local boots does not sell it. The woman on the clinque counter is terrifying whereas the benefit girl is very honest and approachable. Often club card deals with benefit products. I am also a bit of a sparkly diva girl and the products suit me. Am also a sucker for the packaging.

ggirlsbells · 09/12/2007 00:48

I am not loyal at all.

will try anything

would love to be loyal to chanel or guerlain but not rich enough

bellabelly · 09/12/2007 01:12

I LOVE chanel but am trying to save money... Why is everyone so anti-Rimmel?

chocolatespiders · 09/12/2007 01:34

i really dont get benefit, i spent loads on it last year and i cant see that it is that great the women raved about dr feelgood, so i bought it, i do not think it makes ab=ny diffrence...

so what do you use from benefit that could possibly change my life..

i have chanel foundation

no 7 powder

estee lauder or bourjois bronzer

no 7 eye shadow

mabeline mascara

so i guess i am not a devottee to one brand

NAB3littlemonkeys · 09/12/2007 09:38

I am anti-Rimmel for one simple reason - Kate Moss.

CarmenerryChristmas · 09/12/2007 09:44

Chanel foundation and eyeliner, YSL powder, Some dutch brand bronzer, bourjois and benefit eyeshadow, Lancome mascara. So I think I would fit into the cosmetic floosy catagory.

OhGiveUsAPruniPudding · 09/12/2007 09:51

I like Benefit, MAC, and Aveda
Aveda do the best lotions and hair goo
Mac for concealer
benefit do good cover-up things (redness etc)
I am still on the quest for the perfect shade and consistency of green eyeliner
I really dislike Boots stuff - make up in particular, always uninspiring and the eyeliners are so hard, they don't draw on my eyelids, just drag the skin along.
Clinique ok
I avoid brands where the counters are too...I don't know the word, but Arabella Weir doing that South African cosmetics woman springs to mind.

morningglory · 09/12/2007 09:55

Becca foundation
Mac lipsticks, eyeshadow, nailpolishes
Stilla lipgloss
Maybelline mascara
Chanel lipliners, liquid eyeliner, eyebrow pencil
Guerlin bronzer

Not loyal to one brand per se, but loyal to certain makes for certain products.

honey2theb · 09/12/2007 12:07

ooooh benefit addict here!!

my faves
hollywood glow - cant live without it!
bad gal lash!
high beam
lemon aid. i wear this when my eyes are really dark ( everyday lately) and i dont have to wear a full face of make up.

i have collected all the blushers however because i like the boxes, even though georgia is way to light for me!
on the prices - i usually get a pile for christmas and birthday, so i dont need to buy much over they year.

Elphaba · 09/12/2007 15:44

Estee Lauder for foundation

Lancome for face wash, moisturiser, mascara, lip gloss and other make up

Chanel for lip gloss and nail polish (so far, but am new to Chanel and rather liking it)

twinsetandpearls · 09/12/2007 15:49

best foundations are chanel although benefit come a close second perhaps toed wih clinique.

I love benefit creamy eye shadows, love the benetint in the summer and use their cream blusher in the winter. Their highlighter it great. Eye pencil is fab and the mascar is to die for, I am just waiitng for my rather average clinique one to run out so that I can buy a benefit one. All their body glimmer stuff is great as is their wash iff fake tan as it gives a glow.

Have not biught lemon aid yet but it is on my list. Get even powder has freed me from a face full of foundation.

Gemy · 09/12/2007 20:56

Benefit is good - always been impressed with whatever I've bought, and the fact that the advisor applies it for you there and then, means you can see the results immediatly.

For eyeliner, I am a chanel devotee. They last forever, include a little sharpener and come in different black shades E.G green/black which gives less of a "flat" colour.

Also have dabbled in Becca - no complaints there and Estee Lauder (just ok)
