How do I use a ladyshaver? I want to do my bikini line but how far can I go?

I’m actually quite scared of cutting myself, is this even possible? 😂

Ideally I’d like the whole area trimmed, is waxing a better option?

This is the one I bought.

Do I just need to ‘woman up’?

I don't think you can it yourself with those.... I wouldn't run it straight over any, ahem, folds or creases but the skin that has hair on should be able to withstand one of these types of razors

Cut* yourself

CrapAtThis · 10/10/2021 17:12

Because it’s fairly wide, do I run it towards the inside of each inner thigh then? Not up and down from arse to belly button? I’m finding it hard to describe what I mean Confused.

Against the direction the hair is growing

CrapAtThis · 10/10/2021 17:36

I don’t know which direction it’s growing. The most I’ve ever done previously is a safety razor on the bits (legs and tummy) that stick out of underwear. I’ve never touched it anywhere else.

I need a basic A to Z guide if such a thing exists.

You need a bikini trimmer really, they have a much smaller head so you can get in the creases better without cutting skin.

FrankGrillosFloof · 10/10/2021 19:28

If you search how to shave bikini line on youtube, there’ll probably be some vids. You can usually learn anything off youtube.

StarlightLady · 11/10/2021 06:14

OP, are you actually after “trimmed” as you state or the smooth (all off) look?

The one you have linked to, would be adequate for trimming and the chances of cutting yourself are extremely low.

If you are going for all off, the, if you can afford a second razor, look for one which is advertised as having a foil head.

In my view though, neither compare with the closeness of a wet shave; for this use hair conditioner rather than shower or shaving gel,

Waxing is longer lasting and has a smoother finish (never go for a wax just before a period) but then you have to allow for regrowth between sessions.

Yes, this - I have a Wilkinson Sword one - and it's amazing.

I can't recommend waxing enough; started a high bikini at 13 then Brazilian from 17. I only need to wax now every 3/4 months, very limited hair growth.

No razor rash, no ingrown hairs, no itchy regrowth.

@Elzbells I didn’t even know they were two different things, no wonder I was puzzling over it’s width 🤦‍♀️😂.

@FrankGrillosFloof this is a GREAT idea, thank you.

@StarlightLady for now I want a trim, I’m thinking half a cm or so??? When I’m comfortable with that I might do more shaven though.

@Gonnagetgoing which one? Can you link here?

@YellowMonday the more I read stuff like this, the more I’m tempted tbh.

And, another question, is there anything you do about your bum hole? Or is that strictly waxing only?
