Is this appropriate for a wedding guest?

Well a sort of wedding, actual wedding was family only, celebration/reception is this weekend.

I've put on weight recently so am hating how I look atm, but got this dress and really like thr fit, its flattering where it needs to be and im really comfortable in it. But worried its a bit too white...?

If im honest I'll probably wear it anyway, as i have no other options and its tomorrow, but curious to know what people would think if you saw someone wearing this at a wedding/whether you would wear it yourself...?

I think it's fine but perhaps a little summery for this time of year .

Agree that boohoo can be hit and miss, have ordered some in the past that i was disappointed with, but this one is actually nice heavy material (as in hangs nice and isn't too thin) so pleasantly surprised for the price!

I really like it too...is it true to size Op...not sure if i should size up or down.

Its true to size, ive gone for a size 12 and it fits well, figure hugging in the right places (im hourglass figure with a bit too much bum and stomach atm 🙈) material is nice and stretchy.

It is very low though, my boobs are going to be a little bit on display, but im not too bothered about that as it detracts from the tummy!

Oh and im wearing nude peep toe heels with it (as i already own them and the only other alternative would be black heels which i dont think would go)

I really like the dress and it would not bother me in the least if a guest wore it to my wedding.

It's fine OP - some people have very strange ideas about wedding attire!! It looks nothing at all like a bridal dress. Enjoy the wedding.

It’s lovely, wear it. I’d be extremely surprised if anyone confused you for the bride unless you’re planning on carrying a bouquet and wearing a veil 😉😉😉 those who think there’s too much white, I’m not sure what dress they’re looking at.

It's a lovely dress. As long as you are carrying a clutch bag, not a bouquet, you'll be fine!

Event was last night, bride was wearing her wedding dress, so ws very much a wedding feel.

Got lots of compliments on my dress! Bride told me she thought it was beautiful so defo no issues with the white!

I think it’s fine. Some people are so funny about the white thing. This has loads of blue flowers on it and it’s not remotely like a wedding dress. If it was a floor length white lacey dress it might be a different story but this is fine in my opinion.
