It will be held in a smallish sit down venue. I don't think we'll get much opportunity to dance so I am not anticipating on getting too warm.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

A chainmail knickers and bra set and a permanent expression of extreme surprise, surely?

AdoptedBumpkin · 06/10/2021 23:50

Dress up as Cathy from Wuthering Heights. Grin

cantgetmyheadroundit · 06/10/2021 23:52

Is it Cloudbusting? If so, you're in for a treat Grin

NeverDropYourMoonCup · 06/10/2021 23:57

A coat, so it doesn't take too long to leave?

Agree, they are really good.
cantgetmyheadroundit · 07/10/2021 00:12

@MrsDoctorDear I was fortunate enough to see the real goddess herself a few years ago, but Cloudbusting are pretty fantastic!

Ringsender2 · 07/10/2021 00:15

Eyeliner and a pout

London? We tried to get tickets but no such luck😖 opportunity of a lifetime.

cantgetmyheadroundit · 07/10/2021 00:55

@MrsDoctorDear yes! Me and my brother had always said we would try and see her if she ever toured again, and he took the morning off work when they went on sale, and unbelievably scored tickets. I cried. When he got them, and when we went 🤣
One of the best nights of my life, and easily the best gig I've ever been to. Forever thankful I got the opportunity!

NiceGerbil · 07/10/2021 01:16

Skintight leotard. Take a double bass. Be sexy with it every chance you get.

xsquared · 07/10/2021 07:13

Yes, it's Cloudbusting and I'm really pleased to hear they're good.
What a lovely story @MrsDoctorDear.

Craftycorvid · 07/10/2021 19:41

A cloud of henna’d hair, lots of eyeliner and an aura of offbeat genius! I’m a fan, can you tell?

isthisfishy · 07/10/2021 20:39

Since I won the school talent contest when I was 9 years old dancing to Wuthering Heights I dreamed of seeing her live.
When she did the dates a few years ago I told my husband just how desperate I was for tickets. He runs a sales team and had 20 people calling to get me 2 tickets. I was over the moon and she didn't disappoint.

MrsDoctorDear · 07/10/2021 22:46

@isthisfishy how lucky! My first single was Wuthering Heights, then for my birthday I got The Kick Inside, I was 8yrs old.
When she did the shows my dad (after putting up with my obsession for 36yrs) said whatever the price he'd pay it, if I could get tickets. Sadly not😖

That reminds me of the scene in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory where Mr Salt gets his team to unwrap the chocolate bars for a golden ticket! Grin

They are on YouTube, amazing singing my favourite The Man With The Child In His Eyes.

Can't wait for them to come back here.

(I can also recommend Bootleg Blondie, my sister's favourite, they were fantastic)

cantgetmyheadroundit · 08/10/2021 09:43

Told you they're fabulous! So glad you enjoyed it Grin

cantgetmyheadroundit · 08/10/2021 09:44
