Help me save time in the mornings!

I am now a mum of 3, youngest is 5 weeks and oldest are primary school aged, so I have school runs to do and later on plan to return to work. I don’t have time to put make up on in the mornings, and also I am a little sleep deprived. At 37 I therefore look pretty rough, I feel like my skin had got lots worse recently and I really need make up to look half decent! I am thinking of getting maybe micro bladed eyebrows and something to make my eyelashes look like I’ve got mascara on. I do have dark brown eyebrows and eyelashes but eyebrows could be a bit fuller snd lashes dont curl at all. I’m also really pale and have dark circles but not sure there’s anything I can do about that - maybe those fake tan drops would help? Basically I am a bit clueless with all this and thought I would ask some advice. Help me look like I’ve made some effort in the mornings!! Or should I just stop worrying..?

@FrancesFlute any idea what the issues are around having that done while bf ing? I had a brow treatment with a pretty dubious person trying out a new technique which went wrong. It was like a henna or semi permanent type thing. She only told me this as she applied it and despite knowing I had a baby didn’t ask about breastfeeding. I’ve since not been able to tolerate brow dye at all though understand it can relate to having had COVID. Worried about what the consequences of it may have been ever since

You have 3 young children. Be nice to yourself.

Crikey! You have a 5 week old baby and 2 other young children and the best people can do is recommend things to make you look ‘better’ in the mornings. It makes me so angry that women are seen to be failing somehow if they don’t face the world with make up, and end up feeling crap when they don’t have time. My advice - your children don’t give a damn about how your eyebrows look, so slap on some sunscreen, brush your hair and greet the world in all your bare faced glory. I bet you’re beautiful! 💕
People are recommending ways to make the OP feel better, because she asked for ideas! Get off your high horse @Soontobe60.

For brows try brow gel. I've found it a game changer. Gimme Brow is by benefit and it's great. My make up has to be done in 5 minutes and is: nars foundation, nars liquid blush, gimme brow and mascara.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm coming up to 49, work full time and don't wear any make up at all. I'm sure some people consider that hideous as I'm no spring chicken but I'm noticing more and more women of my age at work not bothering with it.

I use a bit of aveeno on my skin and that's it - I think it just depends how you feel about it yourself really

I used to love the effect of radiance balm on bare skin - Superdrug do at least 2 of their own brand. I really must buy some I forgot how nice it is

This.

I think I will make my routine this plus eyebrow pencil and mascara

@ElspethFlashman

Somebody on here recommended the Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer and I'm so glad I tried it.

It's pricey, so but it's really nice. It's basically glowy stuff that's got a very very light tint. It makes you look very healthy in 10 seconds flat and you only use a big dot, not even a pea size, so it'll last forever.

Agree with the pixi stuff Also the clinique moisturiser with a tint is good. OP I've had my brows done and now I get lashes put on. Although it's only a small thing it saves so much time
