Just want to be cosy and comfy. Don't we all?!

Where in the UK can I get good women's sweatshirts that wash well and stay nice?

The M&S normal hoodies (so not the long line ones or the knitted ones, just normal sweatshirt material hoodies) that they do in loads of colours are really good quality. I have a navy one and a grey one and I’m really pleased with them. Washed them quite a few times now and they look like new. Soft and warm enough too.

But - they are the perfect length on me and I’m 5 foot 1 and a size 12. They may be short on you if tryouts tall.

I have whistles - very good quality but expensive. Hush - terrible quality and expensive. New Look - great quality and cheap. Sweaty Betty - the nicest but very expensive, feels like cashmere but is just cotton.

I saw some very nice ones in Cos the other day, but I could only see them in a funny Tan colour that I didn't like.

I must be doing something wrong with my Primark and New Look sweatshirts as they have bobbled horribly in a short amount of time.
I got some Adidas ones today🤞

Thick, fleecy on the inside, wash and wear well, inexpensive for multiple purchases, and quite a few colours/ variants.

Those Amazon ones look like good value for money, I've just ordered some to try out, thanks for the link

SusannaOwens · 07/10/2021 23:31

I've had success with Primark, Fat Face and Gap - the Fat Face one is the softest and thickest, but I don't love the style.
My North Face one washed badly, and the Levi's wore really badly - holes in the cuffs.

Gufo · 08/10/2021 07:48

My H&M one is much better quality than my Baukjen one!

ILoveShula · 08/10/2021 09:28

Uniqlo

onelittlefrog · 08/10/2021 09:46

Second superdry.

I'm not a fan of the branding but there are some nice subtle ones and they are really good quality. I have one of these and I can tell it will last years. They do them with and without zips.

Primark, M&S and Next all wash well and I stick them in the tumble dryer too.

This. DD has had quite a bit of their stuff over the years, I'm always shocked at how fabulous the quality is. And they do a lot of clothes now that aren't obnoxiously branded, DD has a lovely dress and cotton cable jumper (with the teeniest metal logo) that she wears for sixth form all the time.

I saw some nice ones in Morrissons today. Lovely colours

LightOfAThousandStars · 10/10/2021 11:14

Morrisons ones are also online, I just ordered a couple to try out. They are a lot cheaper than others I looked at and so many colours

DoucheCanoe · 10/10/2021 11:34

I got some Rapanui ones from the charity shop recently and they are super soft and comfy.

They're not the cheapest new but mine look pretty new despite the label being really faded so must have had some wear, they are a lovely length and organic cotton too

Nitgel · 10/10/2021 11:37

Uniqlo/levi, crew also good

MistySkiesAfterRain · 11/10/2021 11:49

The Any Day range from John Lewis has some.

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 11/10/2021 11:56

Earth Wardrobe have some lovely ones including organic and recycled ones. I've bought a few and have been really pleased with them

They also have frequent offers on bundles like a hoodie and Tshirt for a reduced price.

Just realised that I linked to just hoodies but they do sweatshirts as well
Myusernameisnotmyusernameno · 11/10/2021 12:02

I had one from hush that I love. It says flash in gold lettering and has washed fine although I don't wear it too much due to the lettering I worry about it coming off. I have a primark one I have worn to death
