Saturday before Christmas in a country hall type place. Wedding and reception in same venue. Bear in mind freezing cold, wet and windy north east England.

Serious budgeting need as I have bugger all to spend. Everything needed down to shoes and bag (not a bag and shoes kind of gal). No hat needed.

5'6", slimish (size 12). Big feet. Brown shoulder length hair. washed out Pale skin.

Help me pleasre!

Oh yes - and I need to be able to wear at least part of it again to get money's worth.

really glad it fits, do you feel comfortable/good in it? plain is good, you can dress it up.

KristinaM · 06/12/2007 20:37

sounds good. is it still flattering?

iCodMummyKissingSantaClaus · 06/12/2007 20:39

RIGHT

to update it you need paque tihgts for the wedding bit.

is it straight?
haev you some stretch boots?

iCodMummyKissingSantaClaus · 06/12/2007 20:39

cheapo boots for the day and a coloured coat changing into high heels for night is GOOD imo

popsycal · 06/12/2007 20:39

I feelok in it though a little conscious as I rarely wear a dress lol. With tights on I will feel better. Not happy with slight belly but that doesnt matter. Will find some of those special knickers. I look alright

well if you put on some fake tan, (after shaving legs), get your hair done and put on some makeup you'll look great.

popsycal · 06/12/2007 20:42

opaque tights sound good.
I dont have black boots but amthinking of buying someanyway as in dire need.

Dress is striaght yes. traditional Little Black Dress though neckline is straight - like vest top with spaghetti straps

argh the more I think about it, I am not sure whether a blackdress is quite right.....

OP posts:
PatsyCline · 07/12/2007 22:46

I am in the North East and obviously agree about the freezing cold, but if the wedding and 'do' are in the same venue then I wouldn't shell out for a new coat/boots.

I'd vote for a dress covered up with a velvet jacket/pretty cardi for the ceremony. We went to a do at Langley Castle recently and I wore that combo and I was cosy. I took a pashmina type thing for the evening.

Have a great time!
