what to wear with chunky boots if not skinny trousers

Am trying to embrace the whole no skinny trousers look. But all these chunky boots are now in fashion. Please help what do you plan to wear yours with? I dont really do skirts/dresses

I’m going for cropped flared jeans. So chunky boots with funky socks and then kick flares cropped fairly high above the ankle

Or really long flared trousers or flared leggings.

Or sheer black tights and a high waist shortish denim skirt

I don’t like wide legged trousers really.

Yes, I've got some bootcut jeans but then whats the point of the chunky boots if you cant see them anyway? Am of the generation who did the bootcuts & DMs look or even brogues. Just trying to see whether this is what we're going back to

Culottes or cropped trousers. Tapered trousers turned up. Midi skirts

Maybe not as chunky boot-wise as you are thinking, but I wear DM Church monkey boots with:

Short-ish a-line skirts and opaque tights
Balloon/barrel leg jeans
Cropped wide leg trousers
Cropped Levi’s 501s
Midi dresses/skirts, again with opaque tights

If it’s very cold I wear knee-high socks under trousers to avoid an ankle gap.

Agree that most ankle grazing trousers either cropped or rolled up look great. Or even…. Dungarees 😱

cheers! might have a look at some ankle grazers. Wasnt sure whether i was just going to embrace the full length trousers or somehow try and do the shorter ones all through winter
