Help me with the right underwear for a truly fabulous dress!

I now realise that it's satin and that I will therefore need very serious undergarments in order not to be a shiny blob. What do I need (be precise!)? Do I need a corset? I imagine it's the same kind of undies as for a wedding dress but am assuming not white/lacy etc.

I wear t-shirt bras and midi-briefs from M&S pretty much all the time so am clueless about the more exotic kinds of undies. Assume I know nothing.

I know - I thought that was odd. I think they try to get you to sign up for a monthly service and maybe then the cheap frocks pay for the expensive ones. I hardly ever go out, though, so went as fancy as I dare.

Is that a strapless bra and spanx separately or do they come as an all in one? Also, the ones with legs: how do you wee? Do you have to get undressed?

You could go to an independent lingerie specialist / bridal store and get them to measure you and suggest the right bodyshaper. When I was a bridesmaid, they completely changed the look of the dress with the right underwear.

The ones with legs tend to have an interesting double flap arrangement so you can pee without removing them

That's a good idea. I will try to find one - it's not till Feb so I have time.
