New shoes!

GorgonzolaSouffle · 24/09/2021 20:51

When my curly hair has a good cast and curl.

Eyeliner

Light make up makes a big difference for me. I love in jeans, t-shirts, hoodies and trainers. I couldn't give a shit about my hair tbh. But make up definitely makes me feel better. I usually just do concealer, mascara, blusher, bronzer and setting powder type stuff.

SugarMiceInTheRain · 24/09/2021 21:00

I'm very low maintenance. But when I curl my hair and wear some light makeup as well as some clothes that are more flattering than my usual casual style, then I do feel better for it

TheCategoryIs · 24/09/2021 21:05

A smattering of fake tan (or an actual tan)

CreepingDeath · 24/09/2021 21:11

When my hair looks good, I feel much more polished and put together.

Doesn't happen that often because I'm too lazy to style it everyday, but I got it done in the hairdressers today and it looks great Grin.

A tan (fake or real), great mascara, shortish skirt so I get my legs out

Seesawmummadaw · 24/09/2021 22:40

These are exactly the things that I wanted! Thank you

When my hair has volume, and I've curled it a bit. Also wearing perfume! I always forget until I put it on!

coffeeschmoffee · 24/09/2021 22:49

A dress (I don't look great in jeans), subtle fake tan on legs, hair waved, tinted and shaped brows. Honestly.i think hair is the main one for me. If it looks good then I feel a million dollars.

NotMyCat · 24/09/2021 22:54

Perfume
Heels. They don't have to be high but even low heel boots feel more put together than flat shoots for me

Thecatsbutler · 24/09/2021 22:59

Clean newly blowndry hair. Perfume. Lippy. Simple jewellery. 😊

FizzyPink · 24/09/2021 23:03

Professionally blow dried hair. I wish I could do it myself but I just can’t. When I win the lottery that’s where I’ll be every Friday lunchtime getting ready for the weekend.

Snoopsnoggysnog · 24/09/2021 23:18

Oh definitely a blow dry for me! I go as often as I can.
For my current job I had 10 hours worth of interviews over 4 separate occasions, I had a blow dry every time and it made a huge difference to my confidence levels. It also means I don’t okay with my hair when I’m nervous. Sad but true.

Snoopsnoggysnog · 24/09/2021 23:18

Shopgirl1 · 24/09/2021 23:29

Blow dried hair, jeans and fitted t shirt.

Shopgirl1 · 24/09/2021 23:30

Have to be tight jeans though…

Susannahmoody · 25/09/2021 02:33

9.5 stone, hair washed after 3 days (it just looks better), bit of a tan, wearing a jewel colour. And heels.

Seafog · 25/09/2021 02:40

Waking up, feeling refreshed.
Rarely happens, but when it does, look out world!

middlingmess · 26/09/2021 10:55

When I am the right weight for me (9 stone) so then I can wear what I like & I've kept up the exercise so my body feels strong (I still have wobbly bits and saggy skin etc - so I'm not remotely perfect, but the best I can be without drastic measures Grin)
I'm over 40 so any extra weight makes me look so middle-aged (extra middle-aged) as my face is fairly young looking.
Then a bit of colour in my hair as my natural colour is a bit draining on my face, and if poss a bit of a tan on my body and that's me happy!

LlamaofDrama · 26/09/2021 14:00

Nails. I'm rubbish at doing them myself so mostly they are clean and tidy. But occasionally, about twice a year, I test myself to a salon shellac that lasts 2-3 weeks. I've occasionally looked at other colours, but usually end up with a safe classic red that always works with whatever I'd wear.

And those smart, glossy nails make me feel so together. I've got a few weeks of work mayhem going on, so I've had them done and it's a silly little coping strategy that says "I'm smart and I'm professional and i can get this done "

DGFB · 28/09/2021 12:20

Wearing dresses. Just flattering

PurpleGooglyMonster · 28/09/2021 12:21

When it gets to autumn/winter and I can wear dresses, tights, boots and a nice coat. I always look awful in summer but much more put together the rest of the time!

Anordinarymum · 28/09/2021 12:55

I had my hair done on Friday as I was going away for a couple of days. It looked fab, and even now when it needs washing I just know it won't look good when I have finished styling it.
When my hair is good I can do anything !

Anordinarymum · 28/09/2021 12:57

And nails ! Oh yes. I forgot about the nails. Currently going through a phase of them splitting and breaking ( it's a cycle for me) but when I have them painted and my hair done I could rule the world :)
