Are these trousers strictly lounge wear or would you wear them out?

I bought them for lounge wear really, but they're a lovely soft, heavy jersey and actually really flattering on me.

I have a day out planned for this weekend, sightseeing, sports event, casual dinner and drinks.

Usually I'd wear jeans but these are so much nicer to wear. I'd style them much like the pictures, white trainers and short jacket, which looks good in the pictures (on a model) to me, but in real life?

If it makes a difference I'm early 50s, 5'7" and the trousers are size 8 (but come up very big!). They fit nicely around my waist and hips and are a perfect length.

As long as you don't go any further than your doorstep it seems.

You could definitely wear those anywhere!

I’d wear them out. They remind me of the Saint and Sofia trousers that are supposed to be not terribly nice fabric but expensive.

Yes absolutely I would and do wear similar. I am mid 50’s and taller than you but a larger dress size.

Personally, I would prefer them slightly narrower but only because I have a history of tripping up in flares but thats just me.

I ordered those first! These are much nicer and cheaper too.

I'd definitely wear them outside, but then again in my head I would look like the model in the photo, rather than a slightly fat middle-aged womble woman who thinks she looks like a model.

Brogues · 22/09/2021 19:30

Absolutely. I have similar from uniqlo that I wear to work.

Clymene · 22/09/2021 19:33

Well they're not being marketed as loungewear so I'm not sure why you wouldn't wear them outsideConfused

They're clearly trousers

Three0fivepointfour · 22/09/2021 19:59

They’ve sold out in my size in navy orange I’d get some. Lots of us looking at them on the web page!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 22/09/2021 20:06

I had some similar in black, and wore them until the colour washed out. Yes, I went outside in them!

Bagelsandbrie · 22/09/2021 20:11

Yeah I’d definitely wear them, in fact I have some that look identical that I got from Tesco for £8 that I wear all the time. They’re not exactly pjs! Just normal trousers!
