How do you decide what to buy for the new season?

I always struggle at this time of year, it feels like I should just be able to buy one or two key pieces to transform my wardrobe - bearing in mind I have plenty of winter gear - but I can never decide what they are, e.g I’d like boots but there are eleventy billion to choose from.

So how do you choose/buy wisely for the new season?

I also have plenty of winter gear, but I tend to think what my “look” is going to be and work from there. This year I have decided mohair jumpers are it, and have bought a few bargain 80s ones on Depop, plus am waiting for a new one from Cos. I’ll wear them with tapered, high-waisted jeans, and leather mini-ish skirts, both of which I already own.

The other thing I bought which I am delighted with was a long duvet/puffer coat, again, via Depop. By the time I decided I wanted one last year all the good ones were sold out.

A good coat and then Pinterest for ideas but mostly leggings haha

Weirdly, I’ve decided I don’t need anything. There are no trends that my wardrobe can’t meet except maybe the cut out dresses and the granny square jumpers. Everything I have carries over. It’s boring. I am just not inspired this season. Wish I was!
