Purple Shampoo Recommendations

I use purple shampoo on my hair and whilst I love the fact that it stops my blonde highlights turning brassy I find that it dries my scalp.

I've tried several and am currently using Aussie which unfortunately is still giving me a dry scalp.

Any recommendations for a purple shampoo that's non drying?

Hello, I had the same issue and found the occasional use (once every 2 weeks) or Nizoral sorted it out. I otherwise use Head and Shoulders colour protect and Aussie Purple once a week and wash my hair every 2-3 days x

Not a shampoo but Shu Uemura do a great purple conditioner/mask thing.

Fanola is the absolute best. Stains your hands and smells awful but totally worth it. I'm literally about to use the new Olaplex one in a minute though. Thought I'd give it a try. Will report back shortly!

I second the votes for Fudge. It’s quite expensive but you can find salon sized bottles online.

Sorry OP I meant when I used Olaplex just the normal shampoo range, in between using a toner shampoo, I have fine hair prone to breakage so I have to use decent shampoos to look after it well.
I haven't tried the new olaplex purple shampoo yet I didn't even realise they had one out.
I probably will do though as I love the olaplex range.

@Naaaaah please do! I use Fanola and it’s by far the most pigmented purple shampoo I’ve ever tried. Hair and skin need a scrub after but does leave a wonderful cool tone.

Yeah, fanola is by far the best. The tone it gives is perfect. I've just used the olaplex. Smells nice, not as drying as fanola and the colour is good. Would defo buy again. Hard to beat fanola though!

Another vote for Fanola .. I use the anti yellow mask every other wash , it's blue and only stays on 5 minutes but it's the only thing I've ever tried and I've tried a lot that didn't make my hair even drier
About £9 on Amazon

Lee Stafford’s purple range from Boots is the best I’ve ever used. Even my hairdresser commented on the nice tone to it. My hair is never dry after either. It’s great and always on 3 for 2.

I recommend the Osmo Super Silver no yellow conditioning mask.
I bought the 1ltr pump bottle and it’s great.

I've got Bleach London Silver (and the Fade to Grey but that does bugger all on my hair ) , I use the shampoo+conditioner .
If my hair is feeling dry , Aveda Blue Malva conditioner used as a mask then rinsed out , no shampooing .

Kerestase is wonderful.
