Dry skin on hands when don’t like feel of cream

I’m getting dry skin on my hands, through cold and lots of hand gel. I really don’t like the feel of cream (partly autism I think). Does anyone know of any alternatives. There was a good thread in 2019 mainly about about body or face, would those be suitable? I don’t use any beauty products so anything will be an improvement for me.

How about a light skin oil like almond oil?
Perhaps if you put it on before bed a few times a week, it would lessen the need for creams in the day.

I hate the feeling of hand cream on the palms of my hands so I just put a splodge on the backs of my hands and then rub them together. That way you avoid the yucky greasy feeling.

I hate the feeling of cream too!
One that I do like is this, it's almost instantly absorbed and doesn't feel like a cream
Also applying a heavier one at night when you aren't noticing it

I hate the yucky greasy feeling too.
I solve it by using non drying hand soap (almond marseille bar soap). And I moisturize at night by using a very thick layer of cream and special night gloves that I wash in the morning after use. Also what @Velveteena says, this method to avoid cream on the palms of your hands is a solution too. I like Atrix cream because it’s cheap, and you only need a little bit for decently moisturized hands.

I hate hand cream on the palms of my hands but get really dry chapped knuckles and backs of my hands.
I make sure I drink plenty water
Use a scrub or exfoliating gloves to buff my hands
Use flexitol hand cream as it's the least greasy and sinks in really quickly. I rub it in as normal. Give it a few seconds to sink in and wipe the palms of my hands on a damp towel to clean them off.

Thanks for the tips. Again good to know that I am not alone in this.

I use E45 daily lotion spray which is very very light (on my arms, hands, decolletage and legs).
