Aaaarggggh! Emergency help needed - what to wear for christening?

So DH's cousin is having baby christened just before Christmas. Have just let us know. What to wear?

Am still Bfing, so don't think a dress will do. Have black velvet coat which I would like to wear, what else? Am curvy - hourglass, size 14/16 and dark, also a shortarse.

tbh if coat is nice you could wear any old black trous underneath and look fine

vest + wrap cardi often a good bfing combo

Think Coat is nice, is Boden velvet going out coat. Have black wool straight cut trousers, black flared jigsaw wool skirt have beige wrap top with short sleeves, and could waer a l/s black fitted wool mix t shirt underneath, would beige and black go? Most of my tops are work style or v casual.
