Handwash - like Molton Brown only without the price tag?

Can anyone recommend a handwash that is half way in terms of price between Molton Brown and the look-alike stuff that TK Max sell with a name like Bailey & Price? That doesn’t make your hands rough like the Bailey & Price stuff, and smells good? I use soap at home myself but this is for work.

Scottish Fine Soaps have a good range, and it’s not too pricey (compared to Molton Brown anyway!)

Silver Buckthorn is a lovely one.

May not be what you want but I have been really impressed with Aldi’s two posh hand washes which are a dupe of Jo Malone fragrances. Nice packaging too.

This is the cheapo brand Baylis and Harding but this line is a copy of a really posh brand and actually excellent. I like all the scents, which are just the right strength to notice subtly after washing, and it's silky on the skin. Looks good on the basin edge too.

M&S do some. They are called Fragrance Society. Have a look on their website. Only a fiver for handsoap that looks and smells amazingly similar to MB and Jo Malone. Even have similar names....

FlibbertyGiblets · 03/09/2021 15:47

Waitrose own brand, the £2 one.
Ginger and Clementine.

Bryonyshcmyony · 03/09/2021 15:49

Yes, that baykis and harding Goodness one is great!

Sparkletastic · 03/09/2021 15:53

M&S Apothecary range is 👌🏼 for a fiver.

FlamingPinkflamingo · 03/09/2021 15:54

I second the aldi handwash. The orange and bergamot is a lovely malone dupe

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 03/09/2021 15:57

yy to M&S Fragrance Society
Great Molton Brown dupes, and nice quality soap
agree that Bayliss and Harding is too gloopy, and irritating on sensitive skin

dontcallmelen · 03/09/2021 15:59

Another vote for Aldi posh hand wash currently using the No.3 pomegranate tis lovely.

longtompot · 03/09/2021 16:01

@FlibbertyGiblets

Waitrose own brand, the £2 one. Ginger and Clementine.
I love this soap. I use it in the kitchen and it just makes my hands feel fresh.

In my bathroom and downstairs loo we have Baylis and Harding Jojoba, vanilla and almond hand wash which are quite decadent smelling. Well, to me.

MabelSable · 03/09/2021 16:03

I like the M&S Apothecary stuff.

grownup2 · 03/09/2021 16:04

All good suggestions - useful - but for me the Waitrose and M&S Fragrance Society are not as luxurious on the skin as Baylis and Harding Goodness. I haven't tried the Aldi but the price is amazingly low!

MabelSable · 03/09/2021 16:11

I must try those B&H Aesop dupes. The reviews are glowing.

hellswelshy · 03/09/2021 17:17

Not sure if it what you are looking for but the Method handwashes all smell glorious!

CherylStreep · 03/09/2021 17:31

Aldi Pomegranate and Ginger is lovely

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 03/09/2021 17:33

Aldi do a dupe buy haven't seen it for a while, hope it comes back in stock. Their other Jo Malone dupes are fab as a PP said.

mrssmiling · 03/09/2021 17:36

Another vote for Aldi.
This is a very good dupe for Jo Malone.

There is a range in store called Abbott and Broome - I buy the Rhubarb and Rose hand wash which is a great dupe for Molton Brown.
It’s really worth trying if you like MB - priced around 99p I think.

TartanPyjamas · 03/09/2021 19:04

If you're after mid-price St Eval Bay and Rosemary is gorgeous, all their stuff smells nice but that is my favourite.

Mercurial123 · 04/09/2021 11:31

Method is great and reasonably priced. I don't understand the love for Molton Brown it uses SLS and charges a premium price.
