shockingly bad HAIR CUT- WHAT TO DO??

DD1 had her long straight hair cut into a bob on saturday. the front looks so cute, but the back...geez, looks like its been hacked off with a bread knife!

now, you'd think i'd have noticed it at the time, but dd was wearing a high coloured fleece, and we were in areal rush, so i didnt look at the back. them she took off her fleece...it is bad. really wonky. bits hanging down...

she'll have to go in to school for 2 days like this before i can get her to a hairdresser. there's no way i can straighten it myself- i can't even trim a fringe successfully.

am abit incase someone at school thinks i've done it, tbh.

would you go back to the salon and trust them to put it right, or just go somewhere else, and pay twice?

I would neaten up the back myself.

fishie · 02/12/2007 21:28

back is much easier to cut than fringe

noonar · 02/12/2007 21:29

you havent seen my past efforts!

I personally would do it myself but have qualifications! If you do not feel confident however, don't do it as chances are you may make it worse.
But, you should march her back into the salon and get them to sort it pronto imo.
If the cut us awful, they should sort it out for free obviously, then never go back there.

Have a go at straightening it yourself, if it's no better take her back to the salon and politely insist that they sort it out there and then.

yaddayule · 03/12/2007 10:58

Is it long enough for bunches at the back while you wait to march back to hairdresser to sort it out ?

noonar · 03/12/2007 12:19

ok, its not so dreadful that people will point and stare, just dreadful when you think that we have paid to have it cut in a straight line-lol. so, she has gone off to school with her hair down. will just have to wait till tomorrow, as we have swimming after school. i will be very firm but polite, no doubt about that

take her back to salon, and ask for someone else to sort it out.

PurplePillow · 06/12/2007 18:37

As a hairdresser in life before dd we encouraged our customers to tell us if there was something wrong with their styles, so imho you should take her back to the salon that cut it and explain that your not happy and can they rectify it for you.

Any salon worth their salt will gladly do this rather than lose a customer.

Good luck noonar just be firm but polite and you will be fine
