When she is mid forties, short and round (5 ft 3, size 22, busty)?

Wedding will be in summer. I don't wear heels.

Or hats.

I have no idea where to look. Or what to look for.
Reasonable budget, couple of hundred or so is fine if I don't look frumpy

Chesca has lovely plus size outfits for weddings.

I'd start with John Lewis' Personal styling service.

I’ve seen some beautiful dresses in Phase 8 for MOB staring around £150.

No John Lewis local :( I've looked at Chesca and Phase 8. Just don't know what I want really.....

Have you looked at Gina Baconni? E.g. this is very flattering.

How formal is the wedding? My daughter's was very casual and I wore a knee length swing dress. My son's was more formal and I wore a longer pleated dress with matching bolero

Church and barn. A dress would work wouldn't it?

I'd go to a local dress shop or two or three.
