Ok it was getting all thin and wan after W. was born (June)so I bobbed it (longish bob) and did a fringe. all my own work anyway it was liveable with and looked a bit thicker.
Today I got fed up with it and chopped it into a really short bob, which looks absolutely disgusting, and I have had to grasp it into a very small pony tail today because otherwise I would look like I am insane/Grace Poole/you know the kind of thing.

Should I do a crop thing (hairdresser required) or minimise damage and let it grow? While keeping it strictly tied up?
I am not a crop person really. Just have to wait for it to grow but Oh, the shame if anyone sees it down.

Can anyone find me an easy to manage styleee pleeeeeease? That will look normal!

T I A!

It looks fine to me, why do you hate it?

TwinklyfLightAttendant · 01/12/2007 17:13

Thankyou, that is from a flattering angle! I was too ashamed to show anyone the lesser ones

But what seriously can you do with hair that ..er...shape?

OP posts:
amytheearwaxbanisher · 01/12/2007 17:13

i honestly dont think it looks that bad and if you got a hairdresser to shape it a bit it would be grand

TwinklyfLightAttendant · 01/12/2007 17:14

Ooh you girls are lovely...do you mean a bit of layering etc?

I haven't been for years

It is just hanging there

pooka · 01/12/2007 17:15

It doesn't look awful at all.
But I think it might be worth going to a hairdresser and getting the cut properly done. They may be able to soften the edges a bit so that the fringe doesn't look so severe, and to make sure that bits that are supposed to be straight, are IYSWIM.

NAB3littlemonkeys · 01/12/2007 17:16

I didn't answer as I thought it looked okay.

PirateInaPeartree · 01/12/2007 17:16

HIya, maybe it just needs a bit of choppiness round the sides ? Then you won't have have to lose too much length.

hth?

LedodgyChristmasjumper · 01/12/2007 17:18

It's not that but you have the bone structure to carry off a shorter hair style. If I were you i'd go to the hairdresser and get it chopped into a funky short do.

LedodgyChristmasjumper · 01/12/2007 17:18

*it's not that bad

LuckySalem · 01/12/2007 17:18

Yes - looks fine!! Try getting it layered and the fringe calmed abit as if I had to say something bad about it the fringe looks abit severe!

Other than that looks abso fine!

TwinklyfLightAttendant · 01/12/2007 17:19

mmm. I like choppiness, that sounds good. Can't believe you all think it's Ok!

I will upload a much worse one in a minute if you're not careful

you will be running for the hills

Yes there is much unevenness underneath as I just pulled bits to the front and hacked them off.

It needs a wash as well.

Thankyou, I feel able to face the wider public now.

beansprout · 01/12/2007 17:19

Looks ok to me. Go to the hairdresser if you want a few more layers? It's really not as bad as you think!!

TwinklyfLightAttendant · 01/12/2007 17:20

bone structure?!!

Am thrilled at that comment!

FatBellyJones · 01/12/2007 17:39

I like it - you did a good job

Rosylily · 01/12/2007 17:51

Oh good, someone else as bonkers as me! I did the same sort of thing, I just can't be bothered getting to the hairdressers

I think you look great!

Rosylily · 01/12/2007 17:52

There's a piccy of my hatchet job too we could be twins!

TwinklyfLightAttendant · 01/12/2007 17:53

You lot will have me crying in a minute!

Thankyou so much!

At least my children are pretty

and I am old enough to sort of give up!

TwinklyfLightAttendant · 01/12/2007 17:54

Wayhey Rosy! You're actually stylish though! and very pretty

Your children are stunning too!

OP posts:
Rosylily · 01/12/2007 17:58

yep see....we are twins

pooka · 01/12/2007 18:02

Even with the worse pic I don't think you need to wear a hat.
I would go to a hairdresser though to get the cut perfected. AZnd actually, I do agree with other posters who say you have bone structure for something short.
But I'm thinking the cut as is, but really sharp-looking.

TwinklyfLightAttendant · 01/12/2007 18:16

Ok, will venture into a (shh) salon!

I don't tink my hair will stand up to anything 'sharp' as it tends to get fluffy and curl and wave etc. but will see what they throw at me.

feel better now thanks girls!
