I'm torn between the two. Which do you prefer? I have sensitive skin.

I use both and find the Liz Earle can't cope with eye make up but no problem for TTDO. I use both with a flannel. You can also get out every last scrap with the tub rather than tube.

This one is really good,

Liz Earle or the Aldi dupe, don’t like greasy balms

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 19/08/2021 20:43

Cleanse and polish is not very effective IMO.

I like the body shop camomile balm best, it shifts absolutely everything and smells good too.

TooWicked · 19/08/2021 20:45

Neither!

Body shop chamomile cleansing balm is the best, I’ll be devastated if they ever discontinue it.

KeepthePower · 19/08/2021 20:47

I tried the Liz Earle after recommendations on here and have never, before or since has such painful cystic acne as I did during experiment.

KeepthePower · 19/08/2021 20:48

I use cheap as chips Aqueous cream with the Liz Earle cloths now and my skin is better than it ever been.

Alwaysonthehunt · 19/08/2021 20:58

I've always liked the Liz Earle 🤷🏼‍♀️

JamMakingWannaBe · 19/08/2021 20:58

I used to use Liz Earle but now use Super Facialist Rose Cleanser.

passthecheese · 19/08/2021 21:03

I used the liz Earle but found it irritated my sensitive skin, and now I use TTDO balm, it’s my favourite. It’s so gentle but effective and not greasy at all once you have rinsed it off.

TTDO irritates my eyes but love it everywhere else for make up removal the body shop balm great also...not a fan of Liz Earle at all.

LadyCarolineDester · 20/08/2021 07:18

Well, I like Liz Earle. It suits my skin, which is dry and can be sensitive. I haven’t had scaly dry patches since using it, and they were a winter fixture before that.

I also wear very little make up, which possibly makes a difference: I’m not trying to get rid of waterproof eyeliner, for example.

Window1 · 20/08/2021 07:21

Another vote for this.
violetbunny · 20/08/2021 07:30

Both. Take the Day Off is a makeup remover, you still need to use a cleanser afterwards.

PlayItCool · 20/08/2021 07:50

Liz Earle also gave me spots. TTDO is so bland it doesn't irritate at all and works well. Also like DHC cleansing oil

Alwaysonthehunt · 20/08/2021 08:05

Bobbi brown cleansing oil takes make up off brilliantly and is quite gentle I think

Whiffle77 · 20/08/2021 08:16

If you have sensitive skin, then TTDO will be the best as it is really bland (in a great way!)

Liz early is full of fragrance and essential oils so will likely irritate.

I use the ttdo oil which is also bland and lovely! Really brilliant make up remover.

mrssmiling · 20/08/2021 08:23

I have used Liz Earle - it’s good, but slightly irritates my eyes. The Aldi balm (when available) is excellent, and the M&S Rose cleansing balm.
The best thing eye makeup remover I have found (sensitive) is the Nivea Double Effect Remover.

Betsy88 · 20/08/2021 08:31

Neither. M&S Pure Rose Cleansing Balm (does not really smell of rose in case that’s an issue). One of the best cleansing balms out there, especially for the price.

Betsy88 · 20/08/2021 08:33

P.s I found Liz Earle quite irritating and my skin isn’t even that sensitive (think it’s all the essential oils)

Twilightstarbright · 20/08/2021 09:19

The Superdrug vitamin E cleansing balm.

AlexandraPeppernose · 20/08/2021 09:26

I use the ordinary squalene cleanser

Mumdiva99 · 20/08/2021 09:28

Liz early- I have used it forever. Every so often I buy a different one to try but always go back to Liz Earle. It does take of make up - apply it to dry skin always. But I don't wear make up often.

NeedWineNow · 20/08/2021 09:46

TTDO balm. Cleanses well and doesn't irritate if I do a second cleanse with it. I don't use it to take my eye make up off - I use the TTDO Lips, Lids and Lashes Remover which is equally as gentle.

Liz Earle used to be my Go To, but I think they changed the formula and it got really heavy on the eucalyptus which irritates my skin.
