Powder and bronzer? Maybe?

I so rarely buy makeup that when I do everything has been discontinued. So, can anyone tell me where I can find some nice lead face powder...?

Okay, not really.

What I would like is a hard powder in a compact, I think. Something very very light to take the shine off my nose and from under my eyes after I've moisturised. I have very fair skin, freckles, and am young enough not to be after the Caked In Powder look.

Also, I used to have a little pot of shiny balls, all golds and bronzes and pinks, that wasn't exactly blusher, but it brought a bit of glow to my cheeks.

Am thinking of asking my mum to get me one or the other for Christmas. Can anyone recommend a good brand? Nothing too heavy. Make-up that doesn't look like make-up is what I want, I think.

I like nice things and pretty packaging. I like ethical brands even more.

Am just looking at the Lush stuff - difficult to know what colour to get.

Don't use powder, you'll look like a granny. Use tinted moisturiser / foundation etc.

Don't use bronzer (too 80s) use blusher.

No 7 at Boots is pretty non scary and I'msure the lovely painted ladies will help you.

bourjois pressed powder is really nice, smells lovely and leaves a natural finish.

i always use powder, you're meant to brush it off to look natural scattyspice

Guerlain Terracotta is the definitive bronzing powder. I use it every day of the year, in the lightest shade, putting on with a huge powder brush.

Guerlain also invented those little coloured balls, but I don't know whether they are still around.

Benefit Hula or Dandelion powder are brilliant

Will look into Bourjois, Guerlain and Benefit.

I suppose these things have testers if I go into Debenhams or John Lewis?
