So just to confirm, there are no low rise trousers to be had anywhere?

Not jeans (although that would be good too), but low rise trousers in navy blue, brown or black? I would love some in a slightly looser style.

Good luck with that. Those in control have decided that there should be a maximum of 3cm between your trousers and your bra.

I tried on a skirt like that last week too. It wS almost a strapless dress.

itssquidstella · 11/08/2021 08:27

Banana Republic have some!

AgentProvocateur · 11/08/2021 08:28

They must be hiding in the same place as the v-neck t-shirts.

FastFood · 11/08/2021 08:47

I'd look for chinos, they're generally quite low rise and relaxed.

Luannee · 11/08/2021 09:06

Argh following!!!

I fucking hate mid/high waist and I've been searching for a few pairs of low rise shorts.

I've tried eBay, charity shops, and they appear to be extinct Sad

Shellfishblastard · 11/08/2021 09:12

I like a mid rise and they are also hard to find.

I hate high rise. I have a huge belly and all they do is make it look even bigger. Plus I hate feeling much waist band so high!

Galassia · 11/08/2021 09:13

I hate low rise! The higher the waist the better for me!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/08/2021 09:21

They are my nemesis BUT there are definitely low rise jeans around in some of the more "young person" shops, so I'd also look in those sort of places for trousers.

Or use the Shopstyle website to search "low rise trousers".

MovingtoEssex · 11/08/2021 09:22

Love low-rise. Hate others. I feel your pain.
My work trousers fell apart a month ago and I can't find low rise to replace them.

TableNiner · 11/08/2021 09:31

The problem now is even things that say mid or low are over or on the belly button, they are low only in comparison.

@AgentProvocateur I have one of these which I like. Comes up big.

I have been doing alright with Next Wink anything that goes above my bellybutton makes me look horrible!!! Confused

you're totally right, clothes shops should give more choice: low rise/high rise, skinny/bootcut, short skirt/longer skirt, low cut tops/higher tops.......

TableNiner · 11/08/2021 09:35

These for example are not imo low rise

@AgentProvocateur there are lots of v neck t-shirts in a range of colours at PRIMARK. Smile

AgentProvocateur · 11/08/2021 09:41

Thanks @OnlyToWin Primark was the only shop I didn’t try (queues). I’ll also look at Hush.

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 11/08/2021 09:43

I'm 60 but I hate hate hate high rise trousers, I want them to sit just above the hip - so much more comfortable and flattering as long as you don't have a giant muffin top.

TableNiner · 11/08/2021 09:49

I have these for anyone looking for truly low rise straight jeans, come up big imo

Oh my god I tried to buy a pair of plain black work trousers the other day. Got them home and they were so high waisted I couldn't do them up

user1471530109 · 11/08/2021 09:55

But how do you stop your arse being on show when you sit down? I have some lovely v old jeans that I tried on last week and was delighted they fit and also now a more fashionable style leg compared to my jeggings. But I had forgotten that my arse falls out every time I sit down!

Disneycharacter · 11/08/2021 10:11

Thank god

Sexnotgender · 11/08/2021 10:13

I’ve found Boden chinos quite low rise, haven’t bought them recently though so they may have changed.

Magpiecomplex · 11/08/2021 10:22

@DaphneDeloresMoorhead I have the opposite problem! But I'm a very short bodied hourglass...

LysistrataVickers · 11/08/2021 10:28

I always thought high rise were better for hiding the stomach flab? Are mid rise better?

ExConstance · 11/08/2021 10:57

I have some l;ow rise flared jeans from new Look, really good quality and so nice to be back in the style I prefer.
