How do I move way from my uniform of skinny jeans and loose tops?!

Can anyone make some suggestions of how I can liven up my wardrobe but still cover my bloated tummy (thanks Coeliac disease)?!

My uniform for years has been skinny jeans and tops which are loose over my tummy area. I'd love to wear skirts more but they just seem to highlight my tummy, especially as I can't have my comfort blanket of a loose top to cover it up!

Dresses are not so much of a problem as I tend to go A line but I want to find a casual top/bottom combination to wear that's not skinny jeans and a top.

I'm 5'8, size 10/12 and quite out of proportion (long legs, very short torso) which probably doesn't help with feeling dumpier than I am.

I would go for vintage denim with no stretch for a change. You wil probably have to try a load on before you find the right pair. Maybe something mid rise so you feel contained but not too restricted on the waist. In summer they would be lovely with a silk shirt or a cotton peasant blouse. Go for natural fibres... Cotton, silk or linen!

I think a good start would be finding someone whose style you really like. It would be amazing if they were the same size and shape as you so you could replicate outfits, but even if they are not you can take inspiration from colours, textures, pairing of separates... I recently found Hannah - cocobeautea on Instagram and I love her outfits.

Ultimately I think way to find a new style is to try things, whether thats a big Asos order or heading to the high street, trying on a load of new items is the best way to figure out what you feel good in.
