What will a silver shampoo do to my grey streak and the rest of my hair?

Just that really.

I have let my streak grow in over lockdown and and quite happy with it. However, I feel it doesn't look grey enough. My rest of my hair is brown, going salt n' pepper. The streak looks slightly off-white (not in a way I like!).

So, what would a silver shampoo do to the streak, and would it leave a growth line on the rest of my still mainly brown hair, or does it just wash out?

I've got some weddings coming up, and don't want to make a mess of things.

Silver shampoos are designed for very light hair and will not alter your brown hair in any way, so you are free to use liberally :)

If your grey is very light to white, a purple shampoo will be fine. Any darker and you will need a blue-ish one which a silver shampoo should cover also.

Experience - no grey but had very bleached hair for a good while, DIY.

So, the shampoo is just that, washes out?

Yes, it washes out. It's just a load of pigments (blue or purple) in with your shampoo.

I use aveda blue malva. I'm dark brown but letting the grey come through.
It takes away the yellow tones in my grey. Doesn't effect the brown at all.

the Fudge one has quite strong pigment if you leave it on a long time...you can buy touch of silver shampoo in poundland for £2.
