dividedself · 26/11/2007 15:15

yes - I like, in silver

Scotia · 26/11/2007 15:15

Yes, I like it.

LydiaTheTattooedLapin · 26/11/2007 15:15

Yes please, in the brown!

I like this one too

elliemac · 26/11/2007 15:16

Lovely!!!

TrinityRhino · 26/11/2007 15:16

yes, it's lovely

tigana · 26/11/2007 15:19

No...but then I am like that!
Am more an artsy-fartsy-fabric-type bag than a grown-up, clean lines and leather one.

TheStepfordChav · 26/11/2007 15:21

It's elegant.

3missyshohoho · 26/11/2007 15:22

Lovely bag but I think bags are quite personal so wouldn't buy one for someone else as people have different tastes.

LydiaTheTattooedLapin · 26/11/2007 15:23

So which one of us is getting it then?!

Anna8888 · 26/11/2007 15:26

It's for my mother-out-of-law .

Just wanted to check it receives a good general consensus as I quite agree, choosing bags for other people is v v difficult.

Wow, lucky mol. Isn't Tod very expensive?

dooley1 · 26/11/2007 15:29

ooh yes definitely. How much is it?

Anna8888 · 26/11/2007 15:31

We took my father-out-of-law shopping for new shirts and ties last weekend in Brussels - a big joint birthday and Christmas wardrobe revamp.

So now we have to get something even bigger and better for mother-out-of-law or she'll be very . It's her joint Christmas/birthday present (birthday is 5 January).

Anna8888 · 26/11/2007 15:33

Yes, it's just over a 1000 euros if I remember correctly.

There were some nice (and a bit cheaper) bags in Prada but Prada doesn't do a decent catalogue on the web so I can't show them.

Anyway, think MOL is more of a Tod's gal . The silver one should go well with the fur coat she got from FOL last Christmas

Miaou · 26/11/2007 15:33

No I don't like it at all, but then I'm an arty farty hippy type, so I wouldn't, would I?

But then it would be a bit weird if everyone liked it; just trying to provide some perspective donchaknow

Now this is the sort of think I like here

LydiaTheTattooedLapin · 26/11/2007 15:34

Oh no Anna, I don't think it's MiL's style at ALL! She won't like that colour.

Send it to me, I'll appreciate it

Anna8888 · 26/11/2007 15:35

Miaou - yes, well, perhaps not for my MOL

OP posts:
LydiaTheTattooedLapin · 26/11/2007 15:35

Miaou, my nose just filled with the smell of patchouli looking at those bags

Miaou · 26/11/2007 15:35

ah no, crossed posts

Anna8888 · 26/11/2007 15:37

That's OK cod because I am quite certain that you and my MOL have very different styles

OP posts:
Miaou · 26/11/2007 15:37

Yes, I should have been a hippy when I was a student but never had the nerve to be different then - cue unfulfilled passions being resurrected in my late 30s (probably not a good move but I'm too old to care now )

tigana · 26/11/2007 15:41

Miaou I am with you in the artsy fartsy hippy bag brigade. Those nomad bags very yearn-for-able. Followed by " oooh, I could make one of those myself" followed by months of not actually making one!

Miaou · 26/11/2007 15:42

ROFL - are you me???
