I'm sure my (probationary) Style thread membership will be revoked for this but... where can I buy a hacking jacket?

NOT a proper riding one that will cost £300, I mean a tailored, single breasted jacket in a fine tweed or windowpane check sort of pattern? Can't find one anywhere...

Ho ho ho...

I have a lovely fitted jacket (Jaeger, no less) that looks great with slim dark jeans and brown boots, but it is completely worn out.

MrsBadger · 26/11/2007 14:41

oh of course

DarrellRivers · 26/11/2007 14:42

I'm suprised you won't be riding in it

Piffle · 26/11/2007 14:42

no we need more info come on lapin pray tell why do you need it, what occasion exactly dictates that you must have one of these?

No secret showjumping hobby we know of?

DarrellRivers · 26/11/2007 14:43

Would look lovely on horseback as well

LydiaTheTattooedLapin · 26/11/2007 14:43

So were you a child pony club star?

ahundredtimes · 26/11/2007 14:45

How about this one ?

It's a real one though, not a pretend one.

ahundredtimes · 26/11/2007 14:46

That's a lot of money for a frumpy tweed jacket though isn't it?

LydiaTheTattooedLapin · 26/11/2007 14:48

Too.... tweedy

More like this, I suppose.

Basically a single breasted suit jacket in brown tones!

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 26/11/2007 14:48

the Sylvia one?

LydiaTheTattooedLapin · 26/11/2007 14:50

Sylvia too black, and also a very thick material (tried it on yesterday). But thank you!

ahundredtimes · 26/11/2007 14:52

Did you try on the Polly one too?

MrsBadger · 26/11/2007 14:53

hmm

MrsBadger · 26/11/2007 14:53

no lapels

GibbonInARibbon · 26/11/2007 14:54

drooling over those jackets MrsBadger

GibbonInARibbon · 26/11/2007 14:56

I had one like that when I was into showjumping...got it from a riding shop though. Have you tried any rding shops lapin? or do you not want it to be an obvious looking riding jacket?

ahundredtimes · 26/11/2007 14:56

Does it have to be tweed?

This one isn't but is chestnut in colour.

LydiaTheTattooedLapin · 26/11/2007 14:56

Ooh I like Zena but not the lapels

100x, I tried something that looked exactly like Polly, but the back was about a foot longer - DH PHSL
