Uneven ear piercing

DD had ears pierced six days ago and they are uneven. Wondering whether to take one piercing out (they are seconds), let it heal then try again in a few months time - or longer if need be and then get it done again more evenly? Or is that impossible to do because hole already established and would leave a mark and maybe tear if tried to do another close to old hole? I just figured need to make a decision soon as almost a week ago. She's bit annoyed it isn't even and is willing to wait as long as it takes to heal if that makes any difference. Any advice greatly appreciated!!

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor

I think it would look awful as the hole is already done. Honestly, I'd live with it, no one will notice.
Why do you think it will look awful? The first will totally heal if taken out now.

My seconds are also wonky. I was in my early teens when I had it done and I remember the hairdresser saying "oh we don't need to draw dots on anymore" and then proceeded to do one side close to the first hole and the other side way up where a third would go.
Hate them even now!!! Definitely try and fix.

Earring has come out!!! She's keeping it sterilized and already hard to see the hole. Estimate new one in the right place will be about 3-5mm away so enough of a difference to make it worthwhile. Remembered friend of mine got hers re-pierced recently with needle after they closed up after years of not using so she's giving me their details so am going to talk to them.

Yes was really pleased how easy it was after the initial "oh ffs" as I did spend ages lining them up or so I thought. (they're still not even but loads better now!)

New hole was really close to the old one, so I was glad it healed up fast. It was a bit more tender when I went back into it compared to the first one but still hardly felt much.

Good luck to your DD I'm sure the next one will be 👌

@schmizaj that difference is definitely worth piercing in the correct spot.
Good luck to your daughter and her perfect piecing 😃

My second ear piercings are uneven (serves me right for having them done for a couple of quid on Leeds Market) I'm pretty sure no one but me has noticed in the 35 years they've been there.

I had this exact problem last year, my seconds were fractionally differently spaced, just done in a jewellers and I didn't really notice at the time. It annoyed me so much in the end I just took them both out and let them heal! A few weeks ago I had them redone with needle, one of them was a repierce in same hole, the other was so close to the original hole that nobody else would possibly notice but I feel much more content with the whole thing Smile And needle much less painful too! I think the piercer said that leaving it a year was recommended? Not sure of that though.

The ear piercings I had done when I was a teenager were too low. I got them redone (over the top of the old ones) last year (at 35!). I am so much happier with them. I think you’ve made the right choice taking it out. It could really bug her later. Mine did.

I had three holes on each ear done when I was 10 or so. Middle right and bottom left holes reacted badly so now wear them uneven. Noticeable depending on type of earrings and can be limiting in that sense. If still able to rectify then do, although I don't mind mine.

I went for a second and third hole in each of my lobes recently. I had a gun (thought it wasn’t a great idea at the time but went ahead anyway!). The holes are uneven ie not evenly spaced and also my ears don’t look the same. I’m probably talking a few mm but I notice and it annoys me so I took them out. Now I want to have them done again with a needle. Can anyone recommend somewhere pls? Like the first post on this thread I’m probably quite particular!!
