What's the name of this style top and can you help with elusive pj's??

What do you call a top which is tight around the bust, has elastic that goes around under the bust to sort of cup them, and then sort of flares out to cover stomach and hips?

Please help! I am pregnant, nearly at 2nd trimester, so needs to be roomy!

And where can I find a light cotton pair of pj's, it has to be vest top (I get so hot at night) with shorts that arent so freaking short they turn into a pair of knickers as soon as I sit down? NB I'm not a fan of 3/4 length trousers. I just want shorts that aren't tight or too...well...short.

The elastic bit is called shirred, I'd start with a search for shirred maternity top

Shirred...yes, I had no idea of the name. I love these tops. And also empire...that's the word I was looking for too.

The mamalicious shorts are too short but thank you. I really want half way between knee and thigh...can't find them anywhere I wonder if they exist

That linked shirred top is gorgeous ! Going to look for similar with vest top sleeves...

Just Googled milkmaid tops...I used to have one of these when I was in my 20s I loved it! Wonder if I could get away with it now I'm 40...

Peplum flares out from the waist, not the underbust.

I found some maternity vest+shorts PJs at H&M here. I don't think you will find any with longer shorts, it's hard enough finding cotton maternity clothes, let alone something which is what you actually want. It might be better to get some cotton maternity vests and find some non-maternity PJ shorts that are the length you want, to wear under the bump (maybe size up?)

...and I think I just fell in love with the cycling shorts

just got around to googling empire line vest tops and its come up with just normal vest tops...not the ones with an elastic line under the bust. Sigh...not having much luck today

Men's shorts! Depending on how big you are, get a large size (for reference, my last pregnancy I was size 14 and DH,'s XL joggers fit me at 9m pregnant) and they are so comfy. Also longer than women's shorts. Then a maternity vest and job done.

For a nursing vest I recommend Hot Milk if you have big boobs, otherwise any nursing vest will do (H&M ones for example).

You could try H&M for men's cotton PJ shorts too.

Sorry I wrote my last post before I read this one of yours. Don't get the H&M nursing vest it will be too small! I was around a J cup and my boobs fell out 🙄

Hot Milk used to do a nursing cami in F-H cup size, I have several, but I've had a quick look on their website and I don't think they have them any more Sad

I have these pjs from Next in 3 colours. The vest is long and roomy and the shorts are a decent length with elastic that isn't super tight
