Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs - a review

Following a recommendations here a few days ago, I ordered the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs colour. I bought this one www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003BQSWDC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?th=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8 in deep glow (I have olive skin).

I tried it this morning as I wanted to wear shorts. It is very easy to apply (spray on your hand, rub hands together, then rub on your legs), it dries quickly, doesn't streak, doesn't rub off on clothes, and looks great. My neighbour in fact remarked on my amazing leg tan when I went outside!

Apparently it comes off with soap and water.

For me this will be something I wear when I have my bare legs out (shorts, mini skirts, etc) rather than a daily thing. I strongly recommend you give it a try if, like me, you were fed up with pale legs and wanted a fuss-free solution.

Thank you to those of you who recommended this product in another thread this week!

I generally prefer to style out my pale skin these days but did used to use this religiously in my twenties (a decade ago) for nights out (remember those!).

I prefer vita liberata body blur and the rimmel matte instant tan, same concept but in a tube so no spraying it everywhere and they do a lighter more natural shade.

I find it doesn’t rub off too much if you mix it with moisturiser. Today I rubbed it on without but spread it before it set so it looks less dense. My legs still look a bit orange but I’d rather look like that than really pale. I also rub a tiny bit on my arms. I spray a bit onto my hand and then put it where I want a bit of tan. I use the light tan ; it’s still quite tanned on me.

I love this stuff, have used it for years. Definitely recommend using a mitt and it applies so nicely!

Update: still getting my legs out thanks to the glorious weather, still loving this product. Now wondering how many applications one can lasts and whether I should order a second one!

Yes, I prefer Body Blur too. Looks more natural.

I think it’s awful. Looks orange and caky on me. I threw mine in the bin.

Omg I swear by this product. As someone with a typically Irish colouring (dark hair light eyes almost transperant skin) I live by this during the summer. I've spent alot of money on fake tan over the years (good quality ones) and I've never found one like this so reasonably priced. Not only does it give you a lovely natural colour (the light glow) but it's cheap and actually makes your skin look amazing. I use it everywhere my face, arms and legs and have had many people say to me 'you're a lovely colour' . It's easy to apply, and although it comes off easily enough is waterproof enough to withstand sweat, spilt drinks and rain ha ha.

I'd be lost without it.

I bought some off the back of this thread and just want to say thank you op Flowers

I am crap at fake tan and usually use a Rimmel instant tan but find it very sticky. SHAL goes on lovely with a mitt and my legs don’t feel sticky at all, just smooth and golden. I’m really pleased Smile

I prefer the Sally Hansen cream version to the spray - easier to see/ spread. However recently I have just been using my Boots no 7 protect and perfect intense bb facial sun cream on my lower legs. It blurs and adds hint of colour. Wish they would do a body version.
