Trinny London

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has used the trinny London make up? I am interested in miracle blur and BFF. I know nobody in real life who has used them and they are expensive if they are all hype.

I have bought the BFF recently - speaking as someone who has wasted a tonne of money on foundations that turn orange or disappear after an hour or 2 I would say they are definitely worth the money.

They have given me a totally natural look that lasts most of the day.

I have Miracle Blur and it’s ok on small areas without heavy wrinkles. I occasionally use it on my top lip and a small crease on my forehead. It’s not magic, it just helps disguise a bit.

I have one of her cream eyeshadows too and I love it. It’s a glittery pale amber and I use it as a base for my eye makeup. You only need a tiny bit - I’ve had the pot for over a year and use it every day and there’s no sign of it running out.

OverByYer · 15/07/2021 22:32

I love the BFF it’s a good moisturiser and gives a lovely glow.
I don’t rate the miracle blur.

KnickersOnTheLine · 15/07/2021 22:32

I have both. Not sure on the blur if I’m honest. I can see it fills lines a bit/ skin looks plumper, but on me I get this weird grainy texture over it that looks like flaky skin. I def don’t have dry or flaky skin and I exfoliate regularly so it’s def the blur. The BFF on the other hand I really like, I got the just a touch as well which is a revelation. Lovely natural finish. And after 6 months use 4-5 days a week those teeny pots are still half full so I recommend.

TeamRick · 15/07/2021 22:58

I'm using BFF too and love it! Watched loads of her videos during lockdown which coincided with not wearing much make-up and my usual foundation looking like a mask when I did wear it!

My skin can be sensitive sometimes too and had no issues with that! Definitely recommend it!

I've got the BFF eye stuff too and not so pleased with that - I thought it made me look more tired but I might need to persevere!

lavenderlou · 15/07/2021 23:04

I bought the BFF Destress and was completely underwhelmed. It looked absolutely no different on me than my Garnier BB cream which was a fraction of the cost.

Seesawmummadaw · 15/07/2021 23:07

I was really put off by the ads where she appears to rub smudges off of her skin and say that her products hid her imperfections.

LesLavandes · 15/07/2021 23:26

Love BFF

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 15/07/2021 23:52

Hype

NoYOUbekind · 16/07/2021 00:05

BFF good, the BFF serum thingy that's tinted is really, really great and definitely something I'll rebuy. Miracle Blur is terrible - it's a product that looks good on camera but not IRL. The eyeshadows and lipsticks are good but overpriced I think, however I like the locking stack packaging.

OverByYer · 16/07/2021 06:46

Not so sure about the tinted serum and not keen on her under eye stuff.
The Just a Touch foundation is good, I use that under my eyes and in red patches, coverage is really good.
Eyeshadow and lipsticks are meh.

MakeMineALarge1 · 16/07/2021 07:24

I am really tempted to try some of them, I am on a FB group, TTNW and when you see pictures of ladies wearing it, they don't look like they have anything on! They can list loads of products and it all looks a bit meh to me.

HopeForTheBestExpectTheWorst · 16/07/2021 07:28

BFF is fine but I think massively overpriced - I get exactly the same result by mixing a tiny bit of my foundation with whatever face cream or suncream I'm currently using.
Have been put off trying Miracle Blur because I hear such different views on it!
But the eyeshadows are imo fantastic - I've got really bad wrinkles around my eyes and normal powder shadows just end up lumping in the creases. The TL cream eyeshadows stay on all day and don't do that. I've got loads, lovely colours, and they last for ages and ages.
I find the lipsticks way too sticky though - more like lip balm/gloss, and I don't like that feeling on my lips.

nickdrakeslovechild · 16/07/2021 08:36

Thanks for all the replies, think I will give the miracle blur a miss but good to hear that the bff is good. Any idea where you can get samples or test the colours?

I love the miracle blur but it's how you apply it that makes the difference, you have to pat it into your skin. I use it around my crows feet, 11s and forehead. It hides the wrinkles and stops my skin looking oily. Only downside is that it's a small pot for the money, I purchase it every month - it's my Botox dupe!

DirtySofa · 16/07/2021 08:58

So pleased you have started this thread OP as I am considering some of the products - but not sure whether to go for the virtual consultation. I’ve been wearing the same makeup for 40 years and could do with a change

Purplecatshopaholic · 16/07/2021 10:41

Love the BFF, I have it on most days, including today. It’s really great and so easy to use. I also have the miracle blur - it’s fine and I do use it but won’t be buying more as it’s not worth the money, there are cheaper products just as good. Her lippies are too drying for me.

WhereDidIGoNext · 16/07/2021 17:42

I like bff but anyone expecting it to be anywhere like foundation will be disappointed. It’s a tinted moisturiser but so lightly tinted so it really gives very very little coverage indeed

GreenBlood · 16/07/2021 18:19

I got taken in by the hype and was so disappointed....I used the BFF serum and Miracle Blur a few times then gave up. The BFF was ok but nothing special. There are far better brands out there OP. I really rate Wrinkle Warrior from Kate Somerville and Filorga Time Filler. Both far superior IMO. Trinny is more hype than substance I think.

Itsabeautifuldaytosavelives123 · 16/07/2021 22:16

The only thing I've tried is the BFF, I actually cut it open to use every last bit of it. It was gift so I never repurchased due to the price but after I've used what I've got now I'd like to go back to BFF.

MagicMatilda · 16/07/2021 22:52

BFF is amazing but a tube doesn’t last long and once you start you will keep wanting it…well I do! Love the lip to cheeks too especially Lady J. Wiggs is such a pretty blush.

DuchessSilver · 16/07/2021 22:56

I think the BFF is ok, the coverage is very light though and quite shiny on my oily skin. But it does seem like a good SPF, I've never burnt with it on!

DuchessSilver · 16/07/2021 22:57

I bought a lip2cheek as well but I think that's rubbish

Dancingonmoonlight · 17/07/2021 02:02

The lip product is EXTREMELY drying so if you are a fan of the dry, cracked, stained lips look - go for it!

That's how her lips always look. The ads of her shite are constant and all I can look at are her dry as hell lips.
