My hair is both greasy and frizzy

I know - it’s as sexy as it sounds.

I have gone from being the person who could go 3/4/5 days without needing a wash to it being every 48 hours, and by then the roots look gross.

But also it is really frizzy. I mean I’ve always had wavy/ frizz-prone hair, managed with a hairdryer and finished with straighteners, but now within ten minutes it’s fly away and frizzy again.

What is wrong and what can I do to make it better. If relevant I am - sob - showing signs of peri-menopause so I don’t know if that is the cause. Tell me I’m not destined to terrible hair for the rest of my life?! What can I do to make it better?

I feel your pain op. I am 57 and my hair is thin and frizzy. Seems to be getting worse of late despite sulphate free shampoos and VO5 hot oil once weekly. Though I haven't used it the past couple of wesks. I saw in Home Bargains a hair vitamin gummy by Vitawell for £4.99 cheaper than Boots or Holland and Barrett which do options for over £12. Need all the help I can get! Hope it helps .... Is it the weather too do you think?

I have had greasy hair all my life which has got worse as I have got older, ironically I have very dry skin on my face.
I use dry shampoo or medicated talc which is finer than normal talc inbetween shampoos.
The past few years I would describe my hair which hangs at shoulder level as fluffy. What helps flatten it is Mane and Tail detangler which I spray on dry hair everyday. Thinking of also trying straighteners to smooth it sporadically.
