Fine hair that goes fluffy in humid air ...

Can anyone recommend a good product that will stop my fine, slightly wavy, shoulder-length hair going fluffy in humid air? It looks nice for about 10 mins after I wash it, but then it starts to expand and little curly bits start to appear at the hairline and within an hour or two I look a total, pouffy mess. This kind of warm, humid air we're having at the moment drives me crazy. Anyone?

My hair is exactly like yours and I discovered by accident that Avon anti-fall leave in treatment is the answer (and cheap!).

This is exactly my hair type. I’ve yet to find anything that works well, but I find that if I straighten it with straighteners, it doesn’t swell, bounce up and misbehave as much as if I don’t. But this is just an improvement, it’s not a cure.

I find that the best thing is to go with it. I buy 1990s style mousse or foam and go with the wave.

I have this and have found having an Olaplex treatment and using their shampoo / treatments at home has improved matters. ( I alternate with Palmers Olive Oil shampoo and conditioner). I also use a blow dry cream and dry with a cheap air styler. I was out in mizzle on Saturday and although it developed a wave it didn’t pouf or frizz. I’ll try and find the blow dry cream and link it.

Color Wow Dream Cocktail for blow drying then if it does frizz you can tame it with Almost Everything Cream which works on wet and dry hair. It’s an expensive business.

Thank you! I'll have a look at these products. @WellTidy I've tried living with it and I have some salt spray that smells nice and looks okay, but I'd love to be able to banish the frizz!

Also - I do have Olaplex treatment when I have my hair cut and it helps somewhat. Straigheners just fry my hair, unfortunately, and make it look like straw Sad

Unfortunately, my experience is that the olaplex doesn’t help with this. I’ve bought their number three and whenever I’ve used it, my hair has been in great condition, but that means more bouncy and wavy (though as my hair is very fine, this is very relative). I love olaplex though and really recommend it for weekly use. Pricey but I think it’s outstanding. Worth a go on a more regular basis?

Living Proof do a treatment you leave on overnight that helps a lot.

Colour Wow left my hair a stringy, dry mess. Easily the worst product I've used.

This is my hair. If I have the time, I put a satin or silk scarf over it when it is nearly dry, which helps. Haven't found a holy grail product though unfortunately.
