Have you done the Penhaligon perfume quiz yet?

It's quite fun, keeps popping up on my Facebook page. You pick tarot-style cards and then it gives you some scent recommendations at the end, and you can chose two to sample for free excluding postage.

I'm not that keen on the first two I tried, so just had another go, selecting unisex instead of female. The choices they gave me do have a lot of the notes I like in a scent, so I'm trying another couple.

It's quite fun and just nice to get a little treat in the post.

I bought the Penhaligon sample box. I think there's 6 tiny bottles. I bought it because I smelled one of them on someone and loved it so wanted to try before I paid £180 for a full size bottle !!

Both of the new samples are disappointing.

Think maybe I like the idea of Penhaligons more than the reality!

It's gone downhill so badly recently. Prices have rocketed but quality of scent is really poor. And customer service is non existent. It's a shame. I used to love them.

Penhaligon’s has definitely gone downhill recently. I got a set of samples at Christmas and they were awful. Although I am still a Halfeti fan
They’ve also started working with some questionable influencers which has really cheapened the brand imo

Penhaligons is awful now. No more bath oil, stupid names for their perfumes and geared towards the Arab market so not the clean, floral British notes they had before. They don’t respond to questions if you email them and everything that used to embody them as a brand has gone. I could understand wanting to appeal to a wider market like Floris, who kept their classic scents but also added more and more diverse perfumes but to just chop out the good stuff including not a single bath oil has meant I won’t be trying anything! It really narked me. Especially having my emails asking if they have discontinued things completely ignored.

I used to adore Penhaligons Violetta back in the day. Really sad it was discontinued

I have a set my friend got me. It's still as lovely now as a couple of years ago. Is it no good now, if I try new ones?
