jeans/trousers for skinny but tall ten year old boy....... help

he wont wear a belt. the adjustable waistbands are useless unless you are taking them in by only half an inch or so. evertything falls off him.
ive tried putting him in age 9 trousers, but they look like he is an escapee from some bad silent film, with ankles and socks on display.

does anyone have any ideas where i can find stuff for a ten year old boy, who is the right height for his age, or even slightly on the tall side, but skinny minny minny.?

i've a really skinny 6 year old and find Gap great.

My DS1, age 7 is sooo skinny.

I agree that adjustable waistbands don't help when they are so leggy.

We have resorted to buying trousers from the likes of John Rocha at Debenhams, at sale times.

The more expensive shops seem to fit him better, arse
